The Empire City Garrison's fundraiser for Long Island Cares, Inc.
Fundraiser for Long Island Cares, Inc. by Chris Feehan ·
The 501st Legion's Empire City Garrison hosted our first ever Virtual Troop on Saturday, April 4th 2020 from 8am - 8pm on our ECG Virtual Troop Facebook page created specifically for this purpose. A Virtual Troop was a great way for us to collectively suit up in our movie accurate Star Wars costumes and have an event online that will help raise some funds for a worthy organization. For this event we chose Long Island Cares (https://www.licares.org/). We will be collecting donations for LI Cares through 04/14/20, so there is still time to give. There are over 50 Videos available on the site, you can check them out at ECG Virtual Troop.
The 501st Legion's Empire City Garrison is raising money for Long Island Cares, Inc. and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. We've included information about Long Island Cares, Inc. below.
The Mission of Long Island Cares is to bring together all available resources for the benefit of the hungry and food insecure on Long Island and provide to the best of our ability for the humanitarian needs of our community. Long Island Cares relies on the generosity and strong support of the individuals, corporations, and foundations that make up our community. We are deeply grateful to the many who join with us and support our commitment to strengthen and secure the future of our community by providing a healthier and more meaningful life to those among us in need. Our Vision is "A Hunger-Free Long Island."
