At 24 years old I made the decision to move to Hollywood, during the last recession, to pursue my dreams of working in the film industry. I ended up homeless three months later.
The Hollywood Food Coalition was there for me during the hardest period of my life. Back then they would set up behind the old Mole Richardson building, I used to call it the Mole Richardson Diner. They’ve since relocated to Hollywood proper, but if it weren’t for them, I probably wouldn’t be here today.
We’re facing another crisis. And the young dreamers in Hollywood need help. With the whole city shut down, the most vulnerable in our industry are fighting to stave off eviction, homelessness, and there is no guarantee that they will have jobs anytime in the near future. The Hollywood Food Coalition is there to serve people 365 days a year with a hot meal no questions asked. ...
So for my birthday I’m trying to pay it forward for all the young kids that are about to leave their homes and pursue their dreams, or are already here, that might need a hot meal in an unstable economy.
Please help keep the Mole Richardson Diner open for everyone that needs it. See More

The mission of the Hollywood Food Coalition is to meet and engage with the hungry and homeless citizens in our... community to help them find their footing and re-enter the larger community to the best of their abilities.
We accomplish this through the consistency of our nightly Meal Engagement Program, which functions 7 nights a week, 365 days a year. We provide a hot, nutritious dinner and the opportunity for our clients to access medical care and case management services to assist with providing help with basic daily needs, such as clothing, backpacks, sleeping bags, and hygiene items, as well as assistance with housing placement and referrals.
