Ann's Relay For Life of Nicollet County fundraiser
Fundraiser for American Cancer Society by Ann Wenner Volk ·
Why I Relay
I initially attended the Relay For Life of Nicollet County in 1993 as my mom (now a two-time cancer survivor) was attending and loved it. Eventually I joined the committee and now my mom and I co-chair it. I also am the advisor for the Relay For Life of Gustavus. In 2019, I walked as someone who just heard the words "You have cancer." It stops you dead in your tracks. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on June 10, 2019. I have had a left breast mastectomy, fat graft and then reconstruction surgery on June 29, 2020. Please join us to support those currently facing the fight, those that have fought and beat cancer, and remember and honor those that have lost the battle. Be part of a community that supports and fights together.
Cancer has affected so many people I know and love that it's inspired me to join Relay For Life. This fundraiser is a community-based event, which means no two Relays are the same, but they all support the American Cancer Society's mission.
Funds raised support cancer patient programs and groundbreaking research that can help save lives. This event also celebrates over 15.5 million cancer survivors nationwide. 15.5 MILLION. That's huge. That's why I'd love your support. Please consider making a donation, purchasing luminaria or attending the event.

Thank you so much for creating a fundraiser. Your support helps us provide patient services, like free lodging or rides to treatment. Or helps fund critical research to help end cancer as we know it.
