Team Evan's Crew's PMC
Fundraiser for Pan-Mass Challenge by Aimee Dufresne Mandeville ·
11 years ago, our life changed dramatically. Three months after a family vacation we learned that our son Evan was very sick. Not just sick, we found out there was not one thing that could be done for him medically to change his prognosis. Evan had been diagnosed with DIPG an inoperable, always fatal, brain tumor.
Eleven Years..... and still our hearts and our reason for being part of the PMC community has not changed, always in memory of our sweet boy. Diagnosed on November 13, 2011, Evan died exactly one year later on November 13, 2012. He was an amazing 11 year old. He always had a smile on his face, even with all the uncertainty, doctors visits, radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Evan was a patient at Dana-Farber and was cared for by incredibly awesome Dr's, nurses and staff.
Although the clinical trial he participated in did not provide us the with the outcome we longed for, we hope that future patients will benefit from his participat...ion. These team of family and friends now ride 163 miles in the Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money for DIPG research at Dana-Farber in Evan's name. We NEEDED to do something to make sense of it all, to find a way to change the outcome for future children. We have been riding since 2013 as Team Evan's Crew.
Clinical research trials are the only treatment option for DIPG - Research supported by the Pan-Mass Challenge!
Please help us support this research to find a cure for this rare and fatal pediatric brain tumor.
100% of all donations made to Team Evan's Crew directly funds DIPG research at Dana-Farber through the Evan T. Mandeville DIPG Research Fund.
Thank-you for any donation you are able to make.
Please remember to check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift fund.

Pan-Mass Challenge
US 501(c)(3) Charity
The mission of the Pan-Mass Challenge is to raise money for life-saving cancer care and research at Dana-Farber ...Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. The catalyst for the fundraising effort is a bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors, and individual financial contributors are essential to the PMC achieving this goal. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has been increasingly successful in mobilizing the support of all these constituencies. We strive to inspire even more proponents of our cause and intend the money we raise to afford Dana-Farber's doctors and researchers the resources necessary to discover cures for all cancers.
