Many people have asked me for the sheet music to Just Breathe.

While I'm not really capable of doing that, this person took the time to do so and put it on YouTube.

Thank you, kind stranger!

If you attended either of my album launch shows in Halifax for 'It Takes All Kinds...', you got to see one of the best comedians, Cheryl Hann, do a set each night.
Here's a short clip of her at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

If you can ever catch her performing, do so and you're welcome.

It doesn't matter what the rule book says. If you don't take all the taxes when you land on free parking, you're a monster.

The venerable (weewerk) took my first album 'Wander Songs' and put it on their pedestal.

I'll always be thankful for that.
I remember hanging up the phone with Phil and doing a jumping hooray in my hallway.

Happy 15th, Weewerk Recordings!

I missed that yesterday was 'Piano Day'.

Piano was without a doubt my entrance into music - creating and performing. My parents never forced me even once into lessons or practice as a kid growing up in piano lessons (often one of the only boys at the recitals, conservatory events, NFLD Rose Bowls, Rotary Music Festivals, etc) and/or performance.

I really liked it.

I had a fantastic piano and music teacher - Lisa Nolan. Could not have asked for better. She knew how to pull on my strengths of ear training vs. sight reading. I was just a little shy kid and she was very patient as I was learning it all. I would travel 1.5 hours for lessons after she moved away from Codroy Valley.

I went on to eventually start playing in bands as a keyboardist, piano, organ, piano accordion player (anything keyed) and then started putting out my own songs. I have had a pretty interesting life in music thanks to far.

Here's to the piano!

I was lucky enough to be a part of the 2 Halifax-based albums on this list. Dance Movie and STEWART LEGERE are here among the ranks of Nelly Furtado (go listen to her new song Pipe Dream) and Shania Twain.

There's a whole heap of new music on the way. Here's a preview of some of the albums that spring has in store.

Happy New Year!!!!

Fortunate Ones have released a holiday EP called 'All Will Be Well'.

Check out this video shot by Analog Songs which includes some of my favourite people and special cameos by Rocko.

Jody Richardson leads 240 people at Writers at Woody Point in singing Ahead By A Century, sending love to Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip.

On Saturday a...t Writers at Woody Point, we gathered all 240 participants of the annual Writers in the Wild Hike to send some love to Gord Downie from Gros Morne National Park by all singing Ahead By A Century on the Lomond River estuary.

Led by Jody Richardson and Robert Humber, the group had just an hour to learn the parts of the song and only one shot to perform it -- and they nailed it.

Produced by Tom Cochrane. Ahead By A Century arranged by Robert Humber with Jody Richardson. Thanks to Sheldon Stone for second camera. Big thanks to Fred Sheppard for having us.

Filmed on location and with the permission of the Parks Canada Agency, at Gros Morne National Park, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Newfoundland and Labrador.

I can't be much further from home right now but I am thankful to CBC Music and The Tragically Hip for this concert. I'm glad that Facebook and Twitter and Youtube exist as I was able to somewhat pretend I was around friends and fellow fans to share the experience.

Music, music, music.

Oh, Canada.
