I was reading about Danish culture again recently (shocker lol) and came across The Law of Jante, which I didn’t know about before, but find pretty great. The ten laws are:
•you’re not to think you’re anything special
•you’re not to think you are as good as we are
•you’re not to think you’re smarter than we are
•you’re not to imagine yourself better than we are...
•you’re not to think you know more than we do
•you’re not to think you are more important than we are
•you’re not to think you’re good at anything
•you’re not to laugh at us
•you’re not to think anyone cares about you
•you’re not to think you can teach us anything
Taken with a grain of salt, I think this list is 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. But if you’re not feeling this list, the words of the great Kendrick simplifies it pretty succinctly... “Sit down, lil bitch, be humble.” Always a great reminder. 👍🏼
