Fuck shit Hey, everybody welcome to two We are welcoming you to the desert. I got so excited right Yeah I'm a professional. This is what it is yeah, but not too early I am that excited that we're kicking off a descent here. My name is Rachel I'm, your host I'm with Todd I'm with Adam We are covering D Beyonce influence here the event and guys I'm honored to be joining you here at this table because you for being here well Thank you for having me. Honestly D is an incredible game. We've had so many people coming into the space over the years at D has been a huge part of that bringing new players But we're gonna, we're gonna. Bring a So first at Todd, I want you to tell me what you do for dandy beyond and lay a little groundwork I am for Dandy beyond I am the the creative manager So I manage all the creative That's the beyond sites and It's actually a really good story because I'm a Adam I don't like this, I was doing my own thing called Dungeon Life at the time the stream of an eyelash stream of revelations this exact thing two years ago and just going through interviews and I mean It's like Oh I'm making that I'm making this website Let's Go like help people character stuff I'm like Oh I've been begging for that. Any like this thanks to me shows me the that I'm kissing his butt by any means he shows me the app I'm like looking through it he's like does this I'm like no I was just like this is like the coolest thing ever and then it was like a year later I was like, Hey dude. Just like you just want all my content on your site that makes sense like I'm carrying all these videos and all these creative content You're literally Like making the other half of what I'm doing right, like I'm making videos to help people understand the Indy and understand the Lord Adam is making it so it's more accessible than ever to everyone So one of the most information focused dedicated D fans saw your product. Adam. You blew his mind? Yeah, That's. Apparently what happened? Yeah no for real like I was like no, I mean you remember right react. Yeah, I do yeah, you kinda get down a little bit, but I remember just being blown away by the content that Todd was putting together and I knew We Didn't even have plans at that point time to really branch out into original content and has become one of the really most exciting parts of the beyond that the fact that you can just go to D on a daily basis See new articles from James Hake he's really killing astic right all the videos that tots putting out. We've worked with some great guests over the last couple of years. So yeah It's a really exciting part of the bond and it came from just friendship A relationship forged an event just like this Yeah, it was not organized It really was like you wanna hang out. Yeah, I wanna That's the true magic, yeah friendship and now we're doing some charity streams as well. So now like we're giving back It's been like a really it's been like a huge experience Oh We've had taught you Adam. How did you start building this product? What inspired you and How did it come to be what it is today so I love Dungeons and Dragons Oh yeah if if That's not understood wanna make sure everyone is aware that I loved D and so I was working in a wonderful but a little bit boring job for a decade So decided, maybe I wanted some adventure joined a gaming company curse gaming And when I joined the company we started talking about. Hey are there some areas we can move outside a video gaming that makes sense for us and I was like ooh Pick me, pick me and so ultimately after a couple of weeks being there I'm like Hey, we should do this Dungeons and Dragons thing and the way that we got this to happen was I introduced Dungeons and Dragons two people in the office Many other people had not played before and so we had a single session we started out with Or any of Dragons hoarder, the dragon Queen We were going into that town of greenest That's, just on fire and and so all of these players were just completely captivated from day one We had somebody go out and buy. I think $500 worth of miniatures on day two So every did everyone was just obsessed immediately and It was a really really easy thing from that time forward to convince you know people within the company and then we convinced the executives say this is a thing we should do and it really Just been a Dream of Dungeons and Dragons fans for so long then, you know we're we're really excited that We've had the opportunity to bring a digital tool set to life Thank goodness It's Just in time I do love sitting at the table and having my phone open. Having all my things organized having all my player books right there. It's so handy and That's. Certainly not how D started. I wanna know when did you both start playing and what was it like then So I started at the beginning carving you go. She knows stone tablets I grew up at the moon. Yeah, no I I grew up in the Middle of nowhere so we had nothing with enough cable we we barely got ve cuz. I grew up in a farm in the Middle of nowhere but my brother we would go to town in a while took like hours to get that But we would buy all the D first Edition modules in the cat and like even the old school one we got our hands on and It was the best thing because this is a chance for us to imagine our own stories to have fun and that was part of my life and we, Didn't have a lot of people around us to play with But like the monster Manual, which is full of like all these amazing art and all this, Lord It's got a little bit or maybe over the years. Yeah yeah It's. So great I read it I read that thing easily a thousand times and dangerous and the That's what's the best part about the Indians. You have all the pictures of your own monster is all things for all. I would draw my own. Of course, you know draw the characters. I never got to play I did that on Beyonce. Still you draw? I wanna see this You need to see the frequency of the number of characters I put on my account Oh I can you guys Yeah This is like an intervention so that downtime but so That's. How I was introduced to D of my brother and I and he ran me on my first adventure and I think no one gets into play and he ran The adventure and the minute I was making choices and they mattered even as like like any story, is it your whole life This is a movie That's structure be like Save the world when you get that you're like It's Freedom and its permission, It's permission to tell since to imagine in a way that not a lot of games. Give you that sort of freedom. So I think it It opened the minds of generations. Everyone who decided to play this game. When did you start playing out I actually Didn't start playing until high school, but my first introduction to Dungeons and Dragons was the beloved No one can say any different 1980 's cartoon where they got on this crazy fair ride and I wrote my first roller coaster at a very young age because I thought I would end up in some other day When I got off of that all, I did was throw up so ultimately, you know introduced through the cartoon and in those times, especially in the region of the world where I live. If you can't tell from my accent the Bible Bill, it was not something that You know. D was not something that people talked about. It was not something that people In general play and so I couldn't find a game or even understand what the game was at that time But I was just I fell in love with the concept of the other world that was involved and so throughout Middle school, I started or less playing the indeed, you know, drawing maps on a graph paper asking the people to Pick a number one for third year. You know to see if they succeed almost rolling dice without realizing it And about time I kinda ironically enough A student Minister introduced me to Dungeons and Dragon they're in in high school. It was like a homecoming for me and It's. Just something that is never left It's been my favorite game and and really my favorite hobby past time or anything else for you know 25. Plus years at this point time and It's literally changed my life clearly Both have jobs Yeah you're so I wanna say it was coming to a point. Yeah, but I wanna know to along the way you know you both talk about India being a big part of your lives and it's for me. How I meet some of my friends. How I maintain relationships when I don't get to spend time in the same room as them how we have new adventures even we can't be together What has been the most formative important role that India has played in your life was there a moment or a person that you met that that they brought you together I I have. I have two I'll break it down really quick. So I was I do love video game coverage and all that kind of stuff for C and Forbes Feet and also the other places and then I met the crew I I'm like I'm I've been wanting to do a about D I met Chris Perkins and Mike Morales and and Stewart. And all these people And they were so passionate and kind and you don't find that everywhere or anywhere I'm like no This is what I'm doing It's one thing in my life I'm just coming videos about D I'm done. This is the career so That's been magical because these are my friends I get to talk to and geek out I'm going to we're terrified during life of like That's, a story? That's a story Oh I may have pretended to be rams with chairs on our heads like attack each other Green lives Sure context gives us why one of the most amazing things is like damning heroes. The veil, which I was terrified about this amazing cast of people and making new friendships that maybe I would have never had before the Done to Mastering for my wife yeah is amazing We just do a one on one game She played this amazing, no maim little and she goes on all these adventures and she's kind of psychotic You know actually makes all these contraptions She thinks strawberries her mortal enemy well in mortal enemy And so she has been like actively attacking castle Raven Loft and She's just so creative brave she's she's like the Lovely Human on Earth but also one of the most creative and so just running a game for someone you love even in a single player capacity with indeed is like That's. What we do every week and how else would you find out these things about her that she would be the type to attack I knew I knew But she like you never know who someone like sometimes you learn a lot about each other Oh yeah real quick when you play D and That's That's great you your friendships become closer through that are definitely closer because we play in the game now Yeah so how long is this game been running with it? You guys both played Wow how long I would say months. Maybe it has been six months since around there crazy six months yeah there's a lot of fun, yeah and everyone's developing and changing their characters. But like It's It's It's been a Blast like It's, a great cast so I don't, have to do anything well. Tell me about, the instrumental D Yeah, I think for me obviously, a form so many relationships over the years, with people that are just near and dear to me and D facilitates that in a way that really just no other game can And I think that is because the real impact and effect It's had on me is just this understanding of what story is and what you know. How story not only is something that we passively You know. Listen to or read or watch story is something that we can participate in and we all have stories you know in Life or or these imaginary tales when we're around the table with people and just understanding that you know we all can be heroes and we all can bring light to the world and all of that has just been this incredible picture for me that you know I I truly do like even when we interview people now. Obviously in this job interview people and we ask them do you like Dungeons and Dragons because It's incredibly important But even before that people who play Dungeons and Dragons are just typically the Kind of employee that we're looking for because they're creative they they understand how to communicate. They understand how to adapt to be improvisational. And so the game teaches skills and teaches humanity to people Unlike any other type of game out there. A video game is still going to be this you know limited bounded thing and Dungeons and Dragons is unlimited and and that sense of freedom and that you know Understanding of story is something that that really has just gotten into me and it has really shaped the direction for for really my entire life. At this point time I think you bring up an amazing point in that you know D as a game coming from the video game space and coming from competitive gaming. I'm always thinking of how is what I'm doing actually bettering the world and coming into India had a similar reaction as you everyone here has a little bit more empathy a little bit more sympathy a little bit more understanding for their fellow man and That's because they Ryan different people for fun they get inside each other's heads. They tell each other stories and I think it really teaches people how to grow So you know in the discussion of your your employees. I mean these are qualities you're seeing them come up where they are. It is also because of the format of the game like even if You're playing remotely you're still playing with other human beings and you're looking them in the eye and you're seeing their faces and it's not hidden. But not behind this anonymity that you can find in some of the other Phantoms Spaces out there and so I do think that when you sit around the table a social contract has to exist for that game to even you know persist and get and go forward and I think that that really does make everyone just a little kinder and I genuinely believe many people have said this. But if the entire world can play engines of Dragons, the world would just be a better place. It would be a better place because you're never typing new yes right like You're, saying it out loud makes honest I may not be The best human, when I'm playing overwhelm or apex legends it may bring us either side of me But ventures and Dragons is a social contract. And I think people, especially in this day and age with all the digital, all the social media all the video games of all these digital ways to connect But when you put getting around a table and looking your friends in the eyes is something were kind of desperate for And connected to a different way and That's seen as for surgeons more than anything We've got stranger things For what a couple, more days and hours do a couple of days, but It's It's more than that, like people might get back to something familiar just being with your friends and making eye contact and yeah, like our game we're not around the table Both deeply emotional we Didn't realize yesterday. We here's the veil got together our group and it It kind of all of us hard We have not been at the table together and you form these friendships and it's Play emotional It's An amazing expense Are you are you getting emotional right now time Just It's okay just pull it out. It's beautiful man emotion is story it is and I think you know D has helped a lot of us grow and evolve over the years. But Dan has a game has also grown and changed with us and you guys are now on the on the ground floor of some of those changes. So how have you seen the game itself changed over the years? Yeah, I think that the game itself again at its core. It is still just interactive storytelling and the structured make believe and you know there have been various attempts to use technology Because you know technology is just improving at this rapid pace and it's crazy to think about we Didn't even have smartphones like what like hasn't been 12 years? I maybe It's just yeah. It's It's just it's incredible how fast that has moved along and there have been various attempts over the years to You know kinda bring technology, Dungeons and Dragons and the truth of that now that we're starting to really get into. That is It's really hard like It's a little hard to bring this Complexity of you know some of the rule sets and some of the concepts that are going on with Dungeons and Dragons and bridge that technology gap without you know, removing the part of Dungeons and Dragons. That is you know that human interactive element and And so with the Indy beyond something that we are really seeking to do is to just make sure that we're using the best parts of this emerging technology to enhance supplement and and just Hopefully make the game more convenient and customizable for people around the table but we are not seeking in any way to remove the human imagination that is just essential to the dandy experience and And I think that as the games evolved we've seen various additions that have gone into a little more full on video game, you know we we've seen some attempts to try to capture some of that delight that people get in those other types of genres But fifth edition in particular, this current edition of the game is just so Solid because It's taken all those lessons learned over the other editions of the game It's made this shining jewel. I think at this point time that is is this incredibly flexible and at its core you know simple game to pick up and all the technology is really with the beyond we're just trying to accentuate that and highlight the best parts of the game I think That's key too, that you're not trying to put something between the people that are playing the game and and I feel that way when I use antibiotics accessory when I play in that I reference it and then I'm back to the engagement It's so much easier to teach people how D And it removes that fear factor and its accessibility, too it's it's accessibility for children to just immediately learned D or someone who is like we I know very very interesting. Grandma is deep into D She's Dungeon master She plays now and That's because of things like indeed beyond because like you look at these rules and scary, but the rules need to be there But when you go to D beyond beyond is making it easy and You mix that in the background, a little bit like It's doing the math for you It's organizing it for you you can focus on character You can focus on fun and indeed beyond is opened it up for so many other people because the end on the accessibility front just it's been so heartwarming to understand that you know as this new edition of the game has emerged those who are sight challenged have been really unable to consume the content and then deny beyond came along and then screen readers can can all of a sudden pick up Content and people are able to access the game that weren't able to before and That's made us kind of double down and say okay, you know what else can we do to make the indeed something that anyone regardless of you know what what you're working with are dealing with in your life can can come to the game and you know new or veteran or any other kind of challenges that you have D beyond again is trying to just just assist and support and enhance that experience because again If we can get everyone playing the world is gonna, be a better place and the other and that to that point, like Fifth Edition CD which is just really d now It's the most diverse of all the books everyone's represent everyone's shown It is not what race religion creed sexuality everyone's. There included a law was put into this to be a world game not a game just for like Western mythology right yeah and I have a lot of friends who cannot get into it when I was younger because they did not see themselves represented in that game before and now they And it gets them actively excited When you see the fighter is a black man that matters. If you don't see yourself and the content, if you don't see yourself in the movies or the shows or the books that someone that looks like you sometimes you, Don't feel invited to that content and that has made a tremendous difference absolutely and that has brought so much more creativity to space now and once that further D has been a space that has been declaratively We are accepting. We are open. I think That's one of the things that I've seen from leaders in the industry throughout the years that I've been following D is that there's not a lot of tolerance for shenanigans I'm Vocal I like keeping well guys there's so much to cover all weekend long. I wanna thank you for starting off the day here. Todd your insights We'll be checking in with you in just a little bit. That's for one of the Todd talks That's true and we have developed and next up. We've got a Deb big announcements so so definitely tune in for the Devil up day. We've got some special things happening alright before we get into that. We have a quick video about soul coins. Check it out there's something you need In older escape, the descendant guys thank you so much. That's, so coins Yeah where do sold coins come from so sole points the way we thought about it is that when evil souls come into the nine Hills they arrived through the River sticks and become lemurs for devils souls are the things that used to make more deals and when they get these souls their superiors like them and promote them so yey souls To the souls they are turned into lemurs which are the most base devils imaginable, very larva sort of slime walking slime, piles right barely conscious not even aware of their past lives. It's absolutely wretched existence to be condemned to so a sad end for so many evil mortals so they have that value But then souls can also have other value For instance they can be traded by Rock Shazam night hags for other goods But because of the way It's structured some of those souls get shunted Two men who is the arch devil who deals with wealth and gold and power, and all that and man, and takes some of these souls and puts them into soul coins and That's. new Yeah, Adam and the others came up with this idea of souls trapped in coins to barter with and he meant them pulls a big lever. Our it works It makes the soul something tangible that you can carry around and give to somebody as opposed to something Carry on bag or some other contrivance these souls are now trapped inside of a These these these iron coins and one of the reasons is you know start thinking about is like what is the economy of hell like how does he sell operate they're? Not really interested in gold That's, not the same as on the material plane where you know humans are crazy about golden doors and everybody they. They want that. That's the way you know Commerce gets done but the And when we're thinking about It's, like well, how does it get done in the nine Hills And this was the way it was done like it? Souls are the currency of hell and so by having the soul coins each one has a soul that when you have it as as a devil, you can use it any way you see fit You can take that coin and you can release the soul in it and make it into a mirror to be your servant or you can if you're a pit feen you could take that soul and raise it up to maybe It's a barm devil or maybe you can make some other you know Devil out of it to be your servant cuz once you have the soul coin you are now owner of that soul and the soul coins have other benefits as well. You can leach them directly for their bigger and basically get temporary points Even also query them You can basically talk to them like almost like a common like the soul cage exactly right very much so and so you can kind of get information from them that way But when the difference is when you use this whole coin that way after You've sort of expanded its three uses the soul is just released off. It goes But if you put it into an infernal war machine the soul gets trapped in the furnace where it is literally burned up until there's. Nothing left Can innocent person be turned into a soul coin can can a very evil party member turn like say you know the Palladian into a soul coin and use his Currents? Yeah yeah that certainly could happen the natural way the multiverse works you know good good line people wouldn't be able to be put into a soul coin In the game if you were unlucky enough to have it somehow turned out that your good character either through a deal or through some other misfortune, got wound up getting minted into a soul coins and yeah you'd be in there Hey, everybody welcome to the two We are welcoming you to the does. I got so excited right there No I'm a professional. This is what it yeah it's not too early I am that excited that we are kicking off the second here. My name is Rachel her host I would sometimes I don't Oh, no say it out loud I will do. It is the book done Yeah, no can we give me fuck is not done Okay This is what these things run on that. They are actually Fed by souls and once you put on in there, it can power that machine for quite a while And this is where it gets morally dicey right here. If you're a character in your bombing around one of these things and It's you know the soul and Its furnace is screaming in agony as You're basically draining its existence to power this vehicle What happens the first time you need to refuel Do you take one of these hapless souls and pop it into the machine Yeah. That's a good question though like what kind of mileage do you get have a soul coin Yeah, I mean so it's You know it will it's interesting like the the The rules are still kind of being figured out on that it's like But I think the thing that we all came down with is that that Coin gets you to I think it lasts for quite a while Okay, I don't remember the exact time or whatever, but I know It's, not permanent like you just put one in your done I think you do have to keep kind of charging it up So but yeah they'll remains to be seen Yeah my my main courtroom It's only turn someone into a yeah Fortunately we don't we, Don't put that coin making into the hands of the player characters. Well. That's good Yeah That is good in the long run Hello Everyone. I am Adam Bradford, the general manager for Dandy Beyond and I am here at D Live 2019. The descent boulders Gate descent into a furnace has just been announced This is a health scape behind me This is an incredibly exciting place to be right now. We have infernal war machines somewhere over this direction. I got to climb on to one last night It was a ton of fun, but The event is incredible we're gonna get Into a development update today we're gonna have hopefully some time for questions. We have a lot of ground to cover so we're gonna. Get into this jumping in right now. So the lineup for today is. We've got latest updates as always we're gonna talk about the encounter builder Alpha We've been talking for several weeks about showcasing that here at this event we're gonna talk about what's upcoming for dandy beyond some new dandy releases as I said were announced yesterday So We'll get into that and what that means for B Stranger things Talk about that for a little while and that maybe has to do with a product and not me just talking about the show Although I could do that plenty and then we have some news about our discord. Bot that we're gonna share a little bit later in the show as well alright as always you can ask questions and chat at any point in time along the way we do not have some of the magic that we typically do here where the questions are automated and pulled in for me to see But we have a moderator out there who is gathering all of those questions and is putting those into slack for me to see when the time comes for questions, so we're gonna jump in When we get done with all the other stuff that we have going so latest updates ghost of Salt marsh so everything is completed or at least completing in the next day or so for ghosts of Salt marsh and that is going to be released on the 20 first which you know everything is a blur for me right now. But I believe is Tuesday so we're looking into that on the 20 first goes to Salt Marsh is coming out very excited about that one The introduction of some vehicles and the dandy beyond and That's a starting point For us and that entire system is going to improve over time again, I referred to the Infernal War machines a little earlier that are gonna be in Ballers Gate descent to into a furnace and so we're excited to see how those vehicles might impact those rules a little bit we'll. Keep everything updated as we go We are still working on the Mobile beta character sheet as as we have been Progress is being made and I'm hopeful that we're gonna be able to show some of that off Too much longer and then acquisitions incorporated content. Entry is going and we are here at HD Live 2019. So we're gonna. Talk a little bit about the schedule for today So right now I'm doing the deal Update That's where you are on this clock. So these times are all Pacific time if You're watching out there but then we're gonna follow that up with Todd talks and then we have a live show with here's. The Veil Everybody's gonna be around the table here really looking forward to that. I think a little bit of cosplay is gonna be going on so that should be a lot of fun and a lot of makeup But I would have put in on We got rivals of water deep we're very, very happy to host them today they're they're some of our partners and we will have those to kinda close out what's going on in our studio today then tomorrow we will kick off with death race. The four mentioned Inferno War machines are going to take a spotlight during that segment so looking forward to that high rollers again valued partners were hosting them The Descent Arena is going to be a showcase for the encounter builder where some folks who are here at the descent we present Did some contestants that will participate in this competition to make the best as determined by a series of special guest judges The best encounter will win through and then the play such an I'm gonna be done Mastering that everything That's going on in our studio here on Sunday and encounter that wins the descent Arena is going to be something that the players Gonna be playing through an hour some great contests coming your way this weekend Join of it that you can Let's, go ahead and get a legendary bundle and imma. Be perfectly honest I Didn't do a great job of prepping anybody over here that we were gonna. Do this but we're gonna do this by the way about three times? I think today so we're gonna. Give away a legendary bundle so the way that we're gonna do this is you need to type something in chats so it can be anything at all you can talk about how you like my heroes of the veil shirt you can talk about how great you know this was always my favorite. My hair looks today or or my beard. I don't know why that comes up all the time you can type whatever you want to and chat and we're gonna randomly select that now since they're, not prepared we're gonna be assigned Because we can be where I use like a scroll wheel and they're gonna. Click on something and That's gonna be the winner so That's. What we're gonna do everybody okay over here We good to go okay He's logging in keep typing Keep typing you you just you keep typing out there I'm sure there's a stream delay too like what what are we we gotta be at like three minutes so You're probably not even seen this yet I don't know but keep typing something and You're gonna have a chance to win a legendary bundle and you're gonna Keep doing it Polls you know he's he's logging in right now and he's not gonna. Say anything beforehand so in order to do it. I'm Gonna tell you exactly when we think we're actually there where we can giveaway legendary bundle we're gonna come back to it in just a second alright we're good alright now type now and I'm Gonna keep talking to cover that hopefully not three minutes stream delay That's going on right now we're doing it live folks we're doing it live this d Live we're doing it live we're giveaway. A legendary bundle in 54321 S Pyro pyro pyro like Boat pyro pyro, nope congratulations you have won a legendary bundle I'm, hoping that a moderator is confirming that spelling out there somewhere so pyro pyro rope. You have won a legendary bundle Congratulations Someone will award that to you maybe during the show if not we are a little busy this weekend. So within the next couple of days we're gonna. Do our best to get that award to you? Congratulations we're gonna be prepared for the other two times that we did this now So so that That's On me legendary bundle, congratulations now here is a big announcement that I am very happy to share today The encounter builder Alpha is live now if you don't already know this, I think it was live about an hour ago and We've had thousands of people already discovering that ahead of the announcement we're glad that you guys are eager to get in and try this out So if you are a subscriber on JD beyond whether That's hero tear or master tear you now Access the encounter builder in an alpha which means very, very early state and so we would love for you to go out and check out the encounter builder and we would definitely love and appreciate your feedback. So we're gonna. Jump into the encounter builder a little bit right now so the encounter builder you can get to it. D Beyond Dot com slash encounter dash builder You can also access it from the tools menu now so used to say coming soon it says Alpha. Now and you can get there from there but this is the encounter Builder So you can go in here and say whatever you want to say for your encounter name you can adjust the party composition That's going on with the encounter builder So if you are crazy like me and play with you know eight or nine players occasionally level five you can go in here and make that happen as well You also can use some presets that are all just based on the tears of play And so we can do that as well and pull that in there so ultimately you get to your party composition going here and then you were able to search for monsters so there are variety of ways that you can select your monsters You can do it by type you can do it by all of these filters down through here and again. This is a starting point in the Alpha with our filters we're gonna introduce other filters over time but you can select your monsters and I think most of this stuff is gonna kill One but I'm gonna take a blink dog. It should be fine we're gonna drag a blink dog over into our side bar here. So this is how you put together the encounter so you drag and drop and they can go over there. You can also take this ad button and you can add it right there to the encounter of dragon drop is not possible for you and you can see as I put in that adult Red dragon The encounter all of a sudden jumped up immediately to deadly and so That's That's. What the encounter builder's gonna be doing is it is calculating all the math It goes on from either the dungeon Master's Guide or San Authors guide to everything So if you, Didn't know this before the actual math and the back end of that is all the same and in Zan authors just presents another front end almost to get to the same math. The dungeon Master's guide does so this encounter builder is going to do all of that heavy lifting on the math for you and you can add remove Hours you know quickly and easily here. Let me find something That's. Maybe well No. That's pretty bad let's put in a weird here and we see that one starting to register a little bit. It's got a little bit of difficulty to it But you can also group these monsters alright so we can drag and drop that in there we can call our group something we'll call it the weird group and once we have all of that we can adjust the number of creatures in the encounter you can see as we do that that they encounter builder is just automatically updating with everything That is needed for the math to take place After that, we can save our encounter here and once we save the encounter, we're gonna, go to an encounter. Details view now this view is very, very simple at this point in time and it is certainly not finished Starting point for us as we are but you can also at any point time expanded the creatures and you can see the statistics for that monster all in one place and all of that is you can also you need to go to the my encounter to recover any of the encounters that you previously said that through the mega menu and that is going to be a creations My encounters So if you click there that is going to take you to this page and then you can go back to that encounter You can go back to edit that encounter or anything else that you need to do with it so again this is And this is Alpha and we are doing something that we have never done before and to be quite Frank. I haven't seen many software companies do anything like this and that is getting this out to our really engaged users. Our subscribers in a very, very early unpolished state and we are asking for your feedback so with feedback being this important I wanna walk you through some of the ways that we would like for you to give feedback. So there are three primary well, four primary ways that we want To do that for us and as always, I'm gonna start out with one that is incredibly effective and great for us to keep track of the feedback and that is our forums. So in our forums if you visit there I'm gonna do my best not to I think some ipad addresses cuz I'm an admin so I'm not gonna Click into anything here alright But if you go to the D beyond feedback part of the forums there is a specific encounter builder feedback Area that we would like for you to go and start providing feedback as of right now. So if you have feedback going do that we're gonna, be paying very close attention to that in the coming weeks as we work to get out of Alpha and into what will be a public beta we have no idea how long That's gonna take we're gonna just see where we go with that But ultimately the forums as always are a great place for you to share that feedback Another place that we would like to see that is in Scored so We've had we have a discord server out there Hopefully some moderators can blast out the invite link to that Join our discord server and there's going to be a section on there. If there's not already, there will be where you can talk about feedback for the encounter builder and we're gonna do our best to keep up with that in this court as well So those are two great places that you can share feedback and we also have a couple of other places that are a little more involved but are going to be really really helpful for us if you are willing and able and have the time to share feedback in this way and so the first part of this We do have a feedback tab now at the bottom of the page and if you click that is going to allow you to do a couple of things so you can first of all just leave some general feedback and That's gonna. Allow you to let us know you know what you think of it in this early state you can share your email address. If you desire to do so there you can leave comments and then you can sing. You can attach screenshots if you want to do that. At that point time you also can Draw on the screen so You'll see that this new level of controls at the top here become available If you click there and using the square, we can say that here with the environment filter we had a problem it's going to allow you This filter is not working properly Hopefully you can share a little bit more feedback than that But you can leave a comment right there and you can save that comment and when you get done You'll see That image is part of the screenshot is still there You can submit your feedback and when you do so again that screenshot attaches right there and we're aware of that comment with that screenshot And so this is incredibly helpful If you desire to help us with this feedback If you use this tool because this pulls that into a really, really great place and it allows us to see the context that you're having your Or you're providing your feedback so we really welcome you to use that feedback button at the bottom of the screen and then finally one other thing that will give us even deeper levels of feedback And and that would be incredible if you have the time after You've used the encounter builder for a little while and we're gonna continue doing surveys like this going forward But you can click for the Alpha survey here and this is going to walk you through a series of questions that are very very Specific and give us very good quantitative data in an information that we're gonna use to make this thing even better. So we're trying to provide as many ways for you to provide feedback as we possibly can for the encounter builder we are terribly excited to have it out in the wild now for subscribers and You know if you are not a subscriber today and you wanna participate here you can jump in at the hero here for only 299 a month The master's gonna let you do content sharing and It's 599 a month go to D Do that now and you can jump right into the Alpha for everyone who's. Already a subscriber We really do appreciate the help We are delighted to be able to get this in front of you in such an early state where you can help shape the future of what's happening with this tool and to make sure that we are hitting the points and checking the boxes that we need to for this to be the best tool that it possibly can be for the community so we really appreciate it looking forward to what the future holds for the encounter builder as it Comes together and as we get to it so I'm Gonna.
