We saw this update today from Jesse Hales, our missionary in the Dominican Republic (by way of Costa Rica): "Colton Raleigh Hales was born at 12:02 AM the 15th. 7lbs 8ozs. 18.7 inches long. Red hair (go figure) and likes to cuddle! Daddy's heart officially wrapped around his little finger. Thank you everyone for all the love and prayers!!!" Remember the Hales family in your prayers.

Bro. Brad Gathright will be speaking tonight during our 6pm service. Come hear what the Lord has done with his family during their time in Costa Rica, and what their plans are for the work in Honduras. Don't forget sandwiches and finger foods for the fellowship afterward!

Congratulations to Bro. Jerry Simpson, who was appointed Wednesday night to serve as a deacon at Eastside. He was ordained at his previous church, Clarendon MBC. We look forward to him having a fruitful ministry with us.

Just a quick update: Mary Sagely had a stent put in late last night to fix an 80% blockage. She came through the surgery well, and should go home in the next day or so. Also, the doctors think they can address Lola Bryant's heart issues with an adjustment in medication. She may go home today. Thanks for your continued prayers!

Our Senior Saints will meet tomorrow at 11 am for a presentation on the historical evidence for Jesus, with a potluck lunch at noon and bingo to follow. Come join us! (even if you're not officially a senior)
