I have been searching over a decade for a song that I once called my favorite, when today I finally found it (come to find out, you wrote it). I have never written a "fan-letter" per se, but I just HAD to write you, to inform you of HOW I found it.
As well as many times before, I used various search engines, YAHOO, GOOGLE, and whatever was popular a...t those times. All were failures.
But today, I typed it into google:

Youlicense.com was the first site that popped-up. (Now, I have searched many many pages in the last decade, so I was SHOCKED when I opened the website and recognized that it was The One! Especially since it was titled: Superhero Girl-as I have always typed this figuring it was the name)
The second I began to read the lyrics out loud, all of the words came rushing back to me. I first heard it in Gainesville. After many failed Internet searchs, I tried calling and asking the local DJs, which directed me to local bands. I contacted a handful of locals bands, but none knew the song in which I was referring to.
So, thank you. I really want to thank Youlicense.com for finally having your lyrics posted, but I figure if the site is generating some type of revenue or publicity for you, that you have probably thanked them (with money or words) in your own way. (I have no idea how those things work)

Just read this by our good friend Craig Gordon. Some genuinely valid points made, but an addendum or two was necessary...
Couldn't agree more w this re Obama. Some of the sentences summarized his insanely dubious charisma and evil to a tee;... though one could take umbrage by the non-sequitur attack on Paul Hewson (Bono). We have freedom of choice in our lives; in each moment, what we choose to do or not do. With the level of success access and wealth Bono has amassed he could easily be a self serving wanker in it for nothing but his own gain and glory. Yet he's consistently spent a staggering amount of his own time on service to others thru a countless variety of causes and worthy non-profits that have helped millions of people around the world from Ireland to South Africa to inner city Chicago. Besides the fact that along w a few others he reshaped entirely what "celebrity" means -- making it de rigeur & mandatory for one in the public eye to give as part of the job description -- long before Jolie Pitt Clooney Damon et al. He may miss the mark sometimes by being too easily swayed by nefarious corporate interests, but as he is quick to point out "the mission to end poverty and hunger in the world in our lifetime is a giant task and occasionally makes for strange bedfellows," referring to his brief association w GW Bush where he alone convinced Dubya to write a check for five billion dollars to African countries to fight poverty and disease.
A straight faced liar w obvious wicked intentions and an endless trail of carnage dragging behind him like Obama is one thing. (Unfortunately) there is plenty of pure and overt evil in the world for cathartic diatribes such as this. Say your peace; have your fun. But allow the noble clowns of the world warts and all to continue their do-gooding in peace. Unwarranted ad hominem attacks towards others just because they showed up and offered to help and may have made a few mistakes in the process discourages us all from having the courage or taking the time to do the same. Respect the fact that the man owes the world nothing and yet he continues to hustle his tail off on behalf of others, in addition to his primary full time job as one of the best singer-songwriters the world has ever known.
