Our veterans risked everything to protect our freedom and we owe it to them to honor their service. We can agree on that regardless of our party.
This week’s terrorist attack in New York reminds us once again that we are facing a vicious and brutal enemy. ISIS will not rest - and neither should we. For the sake of peace, safety, and human rights, we must defeat ISIS and its affiliated terrorist groups.
Families across the Southland have been affected by devastating wildfires. I’ve worked to make sure the White House and FEMA are taking these disasters seriously and assisting homeowners and communities in the recovery and rebuilding process.
I’ve sponsored bipartisan legislation that will require any sexual harassment claims against members of Congress to be handled in public and prevent taxpayer dollars from being spent on sexual harassment settlements. Sexual harassment is unacceptable and elected officials should be held accountable for their actions - but they shouldn’t be able to spend your money when they get caught.
At $1.7 billion over budget, an emergency audit is the least Sacramento can do to get to the bottom of this disaster. The bullet train boondoggle is supported by state and federal tax dollars - tax dollars that could be spent fixing our roads and freeways.
Thanks to Mother's Market & Kitchen for helping these kids have a great experience at the CSUF Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary! If you haven’t been, the sanctuary is a great place to spend a day with the family.
Yorba Linda was recently ranked one of the top places in the country to raise kids! I’m working to make Southern California more competitive and more business friendly so each of our fantastic communities can be a great place to find a job, raise a family, and get a great education.
Kim Jong Un is a brutal dictator and there’s no question his regime supported terrorist activities. Nothing will change in North Korea without maximum political and financial pressure on the government. This designation will help to do just that.
North Korea has shown a consistent pattern of terrorist activities, including the torture and murder of an American student. The administration needs to officially declare the North Korean regime a state sponsor of terror - there’s simply no reason to delay this decision.
California has great communities, great workers, and great universities. Imagine what would happen if we actually empowered businesses to succeed so they could grow and hire more workers.
California’s rail plan is definitely off track - starting with the bullet train boondoggle, which is partially funded by federal tax dollars. With so many infrastructure challenges to tackle, why are we wasting that money when it could be spent fixing our roads and freeways?

As the proud son of an Army veteran, I say thank you to all who have served our great country. Have a happy Veterans Day.
Hezbollah is a proxy for the Iranian regime - and it’s only growing more dangerous. I reached across the aisle to pass bipartisan legislation that will cut off cash to this terror group and implement sanctions in response to the brutal tactic of using civilians as human shields.
It was an honor to join Filipino veterans of World War II as these unsung heroes were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the highest civilian recognition given by Congress. They answered the call to serve when our nation needed them most. Making the event even more special was the opportunity to meet two Southern California families who joined as surviving relatives of veterans.
