Ed's Train Shop is very cool. Its packed with enough stuff for a large shop but is in an old house. Ed is very knowledgeable and there is nothing he wants more than for people to enjoy trains. The ...prices are very reasonable and if he sells you something and you have a problem with it he'll make it right, either trying to fix it or replace the item. He sells new and used items and has a seriously vast inventory; do be warned, his shop has motorized trains, he doesn't have (or space for) non-motorized trains like Thomas. He also does have a wide array of items in terms of quality, from Lionel to other brands so there is definitely something for everyone. Plus its great to hear business is good. Do yourself a favor, stop in and say hello to Ed. See More

We stopped here while on a roadtrip. Ed had just closed for the day while we were looking for parking but his neighbors told us to find him at home, so we did... He opened up his little store and gave... us the royal treatment. We absolutely loved his store, bought our son a train DVD that is his favorite and he gave us a stack of train catalogues that to this day are my son's favorite train "books". If we are back in the area, we will definitely be going back!!! See More

Please keep the Forsythe family in your thoughts as Ed heads down a long and difficult track. The shop will be open but may be limited at time based on availability of family and friends.

Well, good morning everyone. Since the Steelers football game is rescheduled for 8:20, tonight here are 2 great ways to pass the time this afternoon. First, volunteers are still needed to help take down the decorations at Kish Park from the Shining Light events. Folks will be there from 2 to 5 today. Anyone can help and your help will be appreciated. Also today from 1 to 4 the Mifflin County Model Railroad Club will be holding our final Open House of the season at 3 West Monument Square, the old Montgomery Wards store. We will be featuring Thomas & Friends trains running. This event is FREE but we do accept donations to help off set our yearly expenses of rent, insurance, etc. Hope to see many of you at either or both of these events. Thank you, Ed

WOW, it's been a whirlwind year & month but Cath & I have made it through. We wish to say ''THANK YOU'' to everyone who assisted us this past year in anyway. We could not have gotten through everything we did without you all. Also, Thank You to all who have supported us at Ed's Train Repairs & Sales. May you always enjoy your trains, etc. Please, enjoy your trains but remember the reason for the season, the birth of Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas. Ed & Cathy

For those folks who may be looking for something to do over the next few days the Mifflin County Model Railroad Club will be holding a FREE open house on Saturday Dec. 27 & Sunday 28, from 1:00 to 4:00 at 3 West Monument Square, in downtown Lewistown. Also each evening from 5:00 to 10:00, at Kish Park "Shining Light Through the Darkness" will have the whole park lit-up to celebrate this blessed season. Everything is also FREE and includes a walking tour of the park, entertainment, foods, a beautiful winter village and train layout. For those who may need to ride around the park there will be FREE carriage rides on the 26, 27 & 29th, and also a golf cart is available all nights. We hope everyone will come out and enjoy this relaxing event sometime before it ends on Jan. 2, 2015. Thank you to all that have supported the events.

Cathy & I would like to take this time to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY and PROSPEROUS 2015. We would also like to say "Thank you" to all of you who used our little train shop for your railroading needs.

Hello everyone, It's been a busy Summer but really not-busy business Summer. I didn't get all the work done that I wanted to but I did finally get all but caught-up with train repairs that have been around since last fall. Only a few more to do plus the ones that just came in this month. I went to my first train show of the season last Sunday and this Saturday is Burnham Community Days that I'll be set-up at so Ed's Train Repairs and Sales will not be open on Saturday. If someone needs me please come to Burnham and look me up. Happy Railroading to all.

Well now, Just got home from the train club. We're down to the last few days before the End of Winter OPEN HOUSE featuring antique and vintage trains from the 1920's to 60's. This event will be held at 3 West Monument Square in downtown Lewistown, on the square, from 1:00 to 4:00 this coming Saturday and Sunday March 23rd and 24th. The Open House is FREE but we will accept donations to assist us with our yearly expenses. Hope you can all make it.
