“Mentorship matters! I wouldn’t be where I am without my mentors, and it’s more important than ever that men lean in with us. #MentorHer” - Our founder Eva Longoria Baston, pictured here with #evalongoriafoundation Board member Henry Muñoz III. An inspiring duo!
We know that mentors can play a key role in enhancing Latinas’ position in schools, universities and the workplace. However, women of color often lack access to high quality mentoring; the majority of senior-level positions within organizations are held by white men, making it more likely that available mentors will also be white males. That is why our mentorship program is so important and why we love working with our amazing partners at Step Up. We’re connecting high school girls with mentors that look like them because “you can’t be what you can’t see.” #mentor #latina #rolemodel
Throwback to our annual dinner where we celebrated the amazing Latinas we work with and all of their accomplishments. Can’t believe we’re already a month into 2018! What are your goals for the year? #tbt #inspirational #party #latinas #girlpower #newyearsresolutions

"This march and this movement is far more ambitious in scope and scale and it extends beyond one political actor or even one political party. What we're calling for is sustainable and systematic change to the experience of women and girls in America.” - Eva Longoria Baston with Natalie Portman and Constance Wu at the Women's March Los Angeles this past Saturday.

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory scientist and #technolochica Diana Trujillo shares words of encouragement with Los Angeles students at the recent #GIRLSBUILD event. Diana knows that #Latinas are underrepresented in #STEM fields and the next generation needs visible role models in science and tech careers!

Today is #LatinaEqualPay. The gender pay gap hits Latinas the hardest - but together we can change the story! Our founder Eva Longoria Baston partnered with SurveyMonkey to better understand what Latinas think about the pay gap. Read her article in Fortune: http://for.tn/2lHCwUy
Edith participates in our Latina mentorship program. She impressed the audience at our recent gala with a moving speech about her experience with the program. “I’m proud of the fact that I’m first in my class at my high school,” says Edith. “But it wasn’t until I joined Eva Longoria Foundation's mentorship program that I realized that my grades by themselves don’t define me. With the help of my mentors, I’ve learned that I need to nurture my whole self in order to achieve my goals. They taught me to learn from my mistakes in the same way that I learn from and celebrate my successes.”
