I love you Eva-from starting your foundation to aid Latinas in desperate need to being there for the disabled-i myself am disabled, as is my beautiful daughter-we're both in Special Olympics, she's in... track & i'm in cycling-maybe you could be the grand marshal one year @ the WA state summer games-it's held @ Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma-well, Lakewood, but still, it would be so awesome if you could speak at the games-look up SOWA, that's Special Olympics Washington-

Sincerely, Michelle Homewood

The Foundation appears to be doing good things for latinas that have not had a lot of others doing for them.

Latinas need to know they can succeed in any professional field they pursue. Education is a beautiful road to take to set out and achieve those goals. SI SE PUEDE!

“Mentorship matters! I wouldn’t be where I am without my mentors, and it’s more important than ever that men lean in with us. #MentorHer” - Our founder Eva Longoria Baston, pictured here with #evalongoriafoundation Board member Henry Muñoz III. An inspiring duo!

We know that mentors can play a key role in enhancing Latinas’ position in schools, universities and the workplace. However, women of color often lack access to high quality mentoring; the majority of senior-level positions within organizations are held by white men, making it more likely that available mentors will also be white males. That is why our mentorship program is so important and why we love working with our amazing partners at Step Up. We’re connecting high school girls with mentors that look like them because “you can’t be what you can’t see.” #mentor #latina #rolemodel

"This march and this movement is far more ambitious in scope and scale and it extends beyond one political actor or even one political party. What we're calling for is sustainable and systematic change to the experience of women and girls in America.” - Eva Longoria Baston with Natalie Portman and Constance Wu at the Women's March Los Angeles this past Saturday. 🙌🏾🔥

Edith participates in our Latina mentorship program. She impressed the audience at our recent gala with a moving speech about her experience with the program. “I’m proud of the fact that I’m first in my class at my high school,” says Edith. “But it wasn’t until I joined Eva Longoria Foundation's mentorship program that I realized that my grades by themselves don’t define me. With the help of my mentors, I’ve learned that I need to nurture my whole self in order to achieve my goals. They taught me to learn from my mistakes in the same way that I learn from and celebrate my successes.” 🙌🏽👸🏻 #wisewords #girlpower #strong #confident
