Birminghamians who stand with Refugees and Immigrants:
As many of you know some people may be struggling to return home due to Trump's executive order. There has been an official lawsuit filed by the ACLU and other organizations that is trying to gain class certification, but, in the meantime, Birmingham will be standing in front of Birmingham Shuttlesworth arriving flights Terminal area to show that we do not stand with the bigotry and hateful ideology that triggered Trump's orders.
Birmingham is the home of the Civil Rights Movement and home for thousands of immigrants from nations including those that Trump has targeted.
Bring signs and posters so our message is understood and heard.
There are legal observers offering their help, but if you know anyone who can offer legal services, please post below. There will be no permit to protest, so please use your best judgment.
