We are going back with our friends! Oregon is a beautiful state that is not only a place to shop but it also has this wonderful museum for the aerospace and aeronautical buffs.

There is a fun indoor... water park we would highly recommend! The water is warm with lots of cool water slides. There is an enormous screen that shows kids movies over the hugh wade pool. It has lots of energy efficient features. See More

It was an awesome place! We learned a lot and had a great time. We had an amazing tour guide that was super knowledgeable and funny! All the volunteers there are very helpful and kind! We would recomm...end anyone who's interested in airplanes and space to stop by and learn a ton and have a blast in doing so! See More

The museum itself is decent, but their management seems to have no idea how to run it. The museum board is actively promoting their landlord the Falls Event Center and its owner Steve Down, who is cu...rrently under SEC investigation, received a Wells Notice in June, and was banned for two years from the securities industry in the past for running a pyramid scheme back in '98. Membership should also be aware that they have even gone as far as to rename the Michael K Smith Philanthropic Award after Steve Down. Museum staff, membership, and the community deserve better.

See the recent Oregonian article titled "As SEC investigates, Down tightens connection to McMinnville museum" if you want a better-cited synopsis of what is happening, since nobody seems to want to report on this locally - especially not the museum or the local paper (News Register). There have additionally been half a dozen articles in local business journals that have Falls Event Centers near them - including one in the Sacramento Business Journal which details the multi-million dollar loss the Falls is currently operating at. In my opinion the Evergreen Museum's landlord is at a high risk of being forced into bankruptcy soon, which by extension puts the Museum at significant risk if management doesn't get their act together.

Support your local plane enthusiasts, and maybe have some sympathy for the staff who are going to have to deal with the mess that management got them into.

This was a great place to spend the day. More than enough to see and delve into. Some things you really can’t see anywhere else, like SR-71 sensors and several different space artifacts. Goes without ...saying the Spruce Goose alone is worth the visit (definitely do the VIP tour). The docents were also fantastic. Very engaging and full of great additional information! Can’t wait to come back. See More

We drove down from Seattle for the Solar Eclipse on August 21, 2017, with no idea where we were going to stop to view the eclipse. A local told us about the Museum and the viewing event and we headed... right over. We received commemorative eclipse glasses and watched the eclipse with hundreds of others. There was music and food and the event had already surpassed all my expectations for the day. That was before entering the aviation and space wings of the museum! WOW! I was overwhelmed at the first class lay out and presentation of information as well as the beauty of the planes, vehicles, etc. The museum and grounds were amazing! I am so thankful we were able to visit and view the eclipse at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum! See More

One of the most impressive collections of aeronautics and space history we have seen in a long time. Did not have lots of time that day so we will be back for sure and bring our children. Staff was am...azing courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable about any of the vehicles on display. See More

Excellent museum and staff. So much aviation history and the staff was so knowledgeable and more important, helpful and friendly. My 16yr old son is taking flight lessons and wants to be a pilot. One ...of his dreams was to see the Hercules so we drove all the way from California to see it. Our experience was wonderful and memorable! See More

I honestly don't take the time to usually write a review about places like these that I visit. But as a fan of aviation and all things Hughes related I was extremely excited to finally visit the H-4, ...but at the same time I was concerned that it would just end up being another middle of nowhere museum. Now let me tell you those concerns disappeared as I drove through the beautiful vineyards on my wall to such an amazing museum! The layout of these aircrafts and the amount of knowledge the employees there had was great! Must say it's a must stop visit. There's also a great water park as well where you can literally slide down a 747!😁 Came from Miami Florida for this amazing experience See More

If you have any connection to aviation at all, you should plan a pilgrimage to The Spruce Goose. It is spiritual. You cant anticipate the feelings you will have viewing these antiques. The Goose is a ...one of a kind airplane with its own place in history. I'm happy Evergreen is able to let us see it so intimately. Harrison Ford narrates a movie at the theater adjacent that is wonderful. Don't miss that. See More

We were fortune enough to enjoy the once in a lifetime event of the solar eclipse at the museum! It was beautiful out there, sun was shining and the grounds are just amazing! They put on a great show ...with food and music for the event and to help avoid traffic we explored the museums! So amazing!!!!! My husband was unable to attend with us due to being in the military but we will be returning to take him! See More

Fun museums to learn about flight on earth and space. Spruce Goose of course is the highlight. People who work there especially the docents are super nice and friendly. Take the kids there one day and... the next day take them to the water park next door. Don't forget to check out the fun movies at the theatre too! See More

We did the full package for the museum. Which included the Aviation Museum. The Space Museum and the IMAX Theater.
My favorite was the Aviation Museum.
We also purchased tickets for the Cockpit and C...abin tour / access which included a photo in the cockpit.
Phil was our tour guide for this portion and truly made the time memorable with his knowledge of the airframe and systems construction. We spent a lot of time.
The floor tour was done by Ron. Again a fountain of knowledge so many interesting stories and facts. There wasn't any question he could not answer. Totally enjoyed my time and interaction with everyone. All and all a very positive experience.
The Space Museum was another good experience. So much information. So many displays. Took tons of pictures.

We returned with the grandchildren specifically to see the Spruce Goose, and we were not disappointed! Our almost-13-year-old grandson is a WWII aviation buff, and he was so excited to tour the Spruc...e Goose cockpit, which, at $25.00 for 4 people, was a bargain! Despite it being one of the hottest days of the year in Oregon, we toured all three buildings and walked the perimeter to see the fighter jets! Truly awesome, and we hope to return one day to try the watermark . . . the visual of the water slides coming from the "Evergreen 747" is truly amazing! See More

The Spruce Goose was absolutely impressive! The collection was amazing! The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars, is the lighting! The building is nice and well designed, but for photography, it ...is exceptionally challenging! See More

My father and uncle both worked on the flying boat. My father Ray Wallace was a hydrolic technician and my uncle Charles Jucker was crew chief. There is a picture of my uncle in the photo gallery "top... right", he is seated with Howard and another man are standing.

The docents were very knowledgeable and interesting to speak to. We particularly enjoyed the cockpit tour.

Seeing the Spruce Goose was a real highlight. Though the fact that so many of the aircraft on display are replicas and not the genuine article is a bit disappointing considering the $27 ticket price.

Well done, great docents everyone was really friendly and caring! Drove way off my track back to LA and glad I did...the “goose” is in heaven, well cared for and protected. Facilities are amazing and ...everything is close enough to touch! See More
