Look at what we've been getting up to in our SoundHive studio.
In this clip, Marco Parisi is controlling a modular synth using the #SeaboardRISE. No need for a computer!
For all the modular synth fans out there, here is a low down of what's going on.
Seaboard RISE is in "Single Channel Mode" and is connected to the Expert Sleepers FH-1 via USB. The FH-1 is taking note on-off, channel pressure, and MIDI CC 74 from the RISE and, as a result, is generating a gate signal and three CVs to control the Pitch 1, Shape 1, and INT.FM of a Cylonix Shapeshifter. We did not use the velocity from the RISE for this particular patch.
The output of the Shapeshifter is routed to a Make Noise Optomix which is being controlled by a Maths envelope. The Maths envelope is being triggered by the FH-1 gate signal.
The groove in the background is coming from the Roland TR-8 and the Novation Mininova.
