Overview
Page Insights helps media organizations, brands, and public figures understand their audience, the success of posts, and the health of their Pages over time. In Page Insights, you’ll learn what posts your audience engages with, so you can make informed decisions about your strategy. It’s a great way to see what content gets the best results for your Page, and how you can build audience engagement.
Likes
See how many likes you have, how the number of likes changes over time, and where they come from.

- Total Likes on Your Page: Track the activity on your Page to see what may have caused a change. When you see the things that helped you gain likes, you can do more of it to build a larger audience.
- Net Likes on Your Page: Select a day or a date range to see how your total number of Page likes changed during that period. This will help you understand if certain content led to an increase in people liking your page.
- Where Page Likes Happened: Understand where your Page likes are coming from. Knowing this will help you understand how people are finding your page and what is causing them to like your page so that you can adjust your strategy accordingly.
Reach
See how many people like, comment on and share your content.

- How Many People Saw Your Posts: Understand how many people on Facebook have seen your posts. Clicking on a specific day will show you all the active posts that day and their individual reach.
- How Many People Engaged with Your Posts:See how many people engaged with your posts. Engagement means that someone clicked, liked, commented on or shared your post.
- Total Reach for Your Page: Track the total number of unique people who saw activity on your Page.
Visits
Understand what content attracts people and where they find out about your Page.

- Page and Tab Visits: Track how many times people visit your Page sections. If you see that some sections—like your Timeline or Photos—aren’t getting many visits, consider adding more content your audience might find interesting.
- External Referrers: Learn how people find your Page outside of Facebook.
Posts
Explore a daily breakdown of your posts, and how many people responded with clicks, likes and more. Get more specific by viewing the types of posts you make: statuses, photos, and video.

- When Your Fans Are Online: Get a week’s view of when people who like your Page are on Facebook. Click any part of the graph to see the number of people and time, so you can plan posts when your audience is most likely to be on Facebook.
- Types of Posts: See the types of posts you create and how your audience responds to different types of content.
- Pages You Watch: Explore post performance from other Pages you follow. Looking at the performance of similar Pages can help inform your strategy.
- All Posts Published: See your posts in chronological order, including the type of post, the audiences you targeted, how many people the post reached and post engagement.
Videos
Track the performance of your videos in order to assess and refine your video strategy.

- Minutes Viewed: See the total minutes of watch time spent on the video. Use the minutes watched breakdown between Organic vs. Paid to learn about which format your audience is viewing.
- Views and 10-second views: Understand unique views, video views, and 10-second views across date ranges and more granularly day by day. Toggle between view breakdowns — Organic vs. Paid and Sound-on vs. Sound-off — to get unique insight into the viewing behavior for your audience.
- Top Videos: Identify your best performing videos based on minutes viewed, reach, views, or average completion. With this information, you can get a better sense for the top content that is reaching and engaging your audience.
- Live Video Metrics: Identify your best performing videos based on live views and concurrent live viewers over time. With this information, you can get a better sense for the top content that is reaching and engaging your audience. Learn more here .

Understand the audience you reach by gender, location and even language. When you understand who your audience is, you can create content just for them.
