Upload Specs
As you think about sharing video on Facebook, keep in mind these recommended upload specs:- We support almost all types of video files, but recommend using the MP4 format.
- Resolution should be 4K or under.
- We support file sizes up to 10 GB, there may be longer upload times associated with larger files on slower Internet connections.
- Videos must be less than 240 minutes long. The longer your video is, the larger its file size will be. This may affect the quality of the video and the time it takes to upload.
- We also recommend Stereo AAC audio compression with 128kbps, or more, preferred.
Tags
Video Tags help organize your videos. The tags aren't displayed to the public, but they make it easier for you to search for videos within your library. You can currently include up to 8 interest tags for each video you upload.Scheduling and Backdating Posts
Before publishing a video, you can schedule it to post in the future, or expire (unpublish) at a specified time. You can also backdate a video post so it appears later in your Page's timeline.Video API

Distribution
Distribution options allow you to control where your video will appear, either directly to your Page of distributed in News Feed.Preferred Audience
Click on the "target" button to target a preferred audience and adjust audience restrictions. The Preferred Audience tab helps you reach specific audiences by targeting their interests, activities, the Pages they have liked and closely related topics. You can choose up to 16 interests.Audience Restrictions
Click on the "target" button to target a preferred audience and adjust audience restrictions. The Audience Restrictions tab lets you limit who can see your post. Only people in the audiences you choose can see your post on Facebook. You can limit posts by age, gender, locations (country, state/province, city or ZIP), and language. Choose a descriptive title for your video that will make it easily searchable.Boosted Posts

Engagement Features

Once you've uploaded your video, take advantage of these features to customize how viewers will experience your video:
Embedded Video Player

Embedded Video Player others to bring your video to their site, allowing you to discover new audiences outside of Facebook. It displays the video's title, author, and view count. It also gives people the option to like the video or share it with friends, driving distribution back to Facebook.

Call to Action
Add a call to action (e.g. Shop Now, Sign Up, Watch Now, etc.) in the video upload flow to put an action button on your post. You can choose what the button says and what happens when people click it.Invite viewers to visit a website or destination of your choice after your video plays. A CTA is helpful especially if you want to drive referral traffic elsewhere.
Custom Thumbnail
Select the main image a viewer sees when first watching a video (thumbnail files may be 10 MB max).You can choose a thumbnail image for your video posts by clicking 'Add Custom Thumbnail'in the upload flow or by selecting one of the ten automatically generated thumbnails. Automatically generated thumbnails are generated from each tenth of the video's length.
Subtitles
Enable subtitles in multiple locales using .SRT files.Branded Content
If your video posts contains any third party brand, product, or sponsor, then you must tag the post as sponsored by clicking on the button. Learn more about Branded Content here.

Videos
In your Publisher Tools on your Page you can find all the videos you have ever posted and the post-level metrics for each one. Use this as a starting point for analyzing, editing, and managing your videos.Featured Videos and Playlists

The Videos tab on your Page is a place for people to watch and discover a back catalog of videos that might not appear in their feed.
- Featured Video: Highlight your most relevant video, whether it's a breaking news story, your latest movie trailer, or a message to fans.
- Playlists: Showcase and organize your videos in any way you want.

Actions on Existing Videos
Video Editing
You can edit a video's title and metadata from your Video Library.
Click the 'Edit Video' icon that appears when you hover over a row, or select a video choose the 'Edit' option within the Actions dropdown. While editing, you can modify most of the information entered when the video was uploaded, with the exception of gating and targeting information.
Prohibited Embedding

Prevent your videos from being embedded in third-party websites. Select the 'Prohibit Embedding' checkbox in the 'Advanced' tab of the video upload or editing card.
Expire Now
Immediately unpublish videos you need to take down so that they are no longer visible to the public. Click the 'Published' dropdown menu in the bottom right corner of the editing card. You can always republish the video at a later time, and you'll retain all the insights data.Delete Videos
Permanently delete videos from your video library. Deleting videos also permanently deletes all associated insights data.Report any bugs you run into here while using the video actions in publisher tools.
Crossposted Videos

Publishers can easily repost videos within and across Pages owned by the same Business Manager, without reuploading the video. Simplify workstreams and see the total performance of a crossposted video across the different places it appears on Facebook.

Video Performance
Video Insights

Understand how your videos are performing on Facebook. Visit Page Insights to get an overview of video metrics across custom date ranges.
Click a video to reveal the insights for that video. On the popup, you can view statistics such as the number of views, 10 second views, views with sound on/off and the completion rate.

Find videos quickly by searching for specific words in the title or description of a video.Filtering
Select search criteria such as 'Views' or 'Title' to locate videos which meet only that criteria. Fine tune your results by using operators such as 'is greater than' or 'contains'.Sorting
