I've been to Farmer Browns more time than I can count. Tonight was by far the worst experience ever. They were out of prime rib, which, I get - it happens when it's busy. I instead decide to try the g...rilled salmon. Apparently the cooks and wait staff do not know what grilled means. I got a pan seared piece of salmon that was grossly overcooked. Sadly, my fiance ordered the same thing and hers too was underwhelming. This was a very sad trip given the fact I drove in from Des Moines to celebrate my birthday with my family. This trip left a bad taste in my mouth and will make me think twice about coming until the ship is righted. See More

Get there as early as possible. We got there at 5:30 pm and we had a 45 minute wait. We had a couple drinks at the bar then got seated. The crab legs and steak were delicious. The bread was delicious.... The sides were ok. Not a fan of the spaghetti. It tastes like bbq sauce for the spaghetti sauce. It’s definitely a special occasion place. A little pricey but worth it. See More

Overpriced grissly ma browns steak, overpriced country fried steak. Everything was blah and overpriced. Waitresses did a good job though, nice work there! First time and last time I'll be there. Sorr...y, but when I pay $15 for a 7oz steak I at least expect to somewhat enjoy it. Heinz 57 was best part of the steak..definitely didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. Sorry. See More

The food was subpar. Our bread came to the table cold, hard and LATE. The prime rib was extremely bland and the au jus had no flavor, so it didn't help it. The scallops were decent but the shrimp was ...dry and horribly overcooked. The side of spaghetti was noodles and ketchup, I'm positive of it. The salads were overdressed and their house Italian was so sweet no one needed dessert. Worst $100 ever spent, HANDS DOWN. I'd give it ZERO stars if I could! See More

Such a special evening to celebrate my birthday with family! Thank you Doug and Cindy! The best steak dinner I've eaten since moving to Omaha! A slight wait just increased our appreciation for the food and service! See More

Absolutely the best stake in the world and I have been to 93 countries!! The staff from the bartender, the waitress all the way to the bus boys were so attentive. Drive out of your way to come here and eat.

Our favorite place for prime rib! Huge portion with sides for $20. No frills, no reservations, usually a wait, but worth it! The spaghetti with a side of chicken livers is my favorite, though an taste. See More

I wasn't too thrilled with the food. My husband's prime rib was not hot, room temp at the most. He informed the waitress and all she said she could do was get him another one. She said it was cut ri...ght off and brought out and that is how they are. Sorry but I disagree, we have had prime rib at other places and it's hot. I had the chicken fried steak and it was the worst I ever had. Absolutely no flavor to it. Don't you do seasonings? Really bland and mine too was not very hot. This was a bad experience and we probably won't be coming back. See More

I visited Omaha from Dallas where steak is famous. I was surprised of texture, tenderness, juicy of prime rip. I ordered prime rip daughter cut which is only 20 bucks but it is huge and thick. The souc...e surrounding steak is not salty but harmony with prime rip. I got baked potato salad and small spaghetti. Those are included. That's still. The restaurant is located at suburb and driving to get there is quite pleasant. Price and taste are all superb. See More

Ate here the other night and will never be back. I'm not sure what all the rave reviews are. Both steaks at our table were so bland...(ribeye and t-bone) no flavor what so ever. Not even worth and mushy green your idea of amazing food???? NOT mine. If you want a good steak go to Our place in Arlington. Best rib eye I've had in 6 months. See More

I chose this restaurant for my birthday celebration woth my son and my future daughter in law. We had a wait, bit it was worth it. Food was delicious the waitress was amazing. My son surprised me and ...told them it was my birthday. The staff came out with a small cake and a song. I turned around to see who the lucky person was. They were coming my way. Surprised and shocked all at the same time. Then there were 2 more birthdays that followed after mine.
Atmosphere is great as well as the food. I will definitely eat here again.

We have always been fans of Farmer Browns. Great prime rib and I love the house salad dressing and tasty spaghetti sauce. Fair prices and always food. We used to frequent the Papillion Farmers ...Browns a lot, since it was closer and on our route to shop in Omaha. Now we have to make plans to go to Waterloo as it is not where we normally travel and shop. Well worth the extra effort though! See More

The Omaha World-Herald did a very nice write-up on Bonnie Bull:…/article_7616f54f-f8ba-5ab5-9a01-aff2…

“She was always in command of the room, all while maintaining a rapport with everyone,” said her boss, Farmer Brown’s Steak House owner Steve Stenglein.

It is with sad hearts that we bid farewell to longtime employee Bonnie Bull. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time. We know that if there is ever a wait to get into heaven, Bonnie will be watching over that list.
