We packed around 130 shoe boxes this Sunday! We've still got lots of boxes to pack, but we are running short on a few things. If you can bring some of the following supplies next Sunday, it will help us reach our goal of 225+ boxes!
-Small packs of colors
-Toys (no guns or war related toys)...
-Jump ropes and other activity toys
-Sports balls (either small nerf balls or ones that can be deflated so they fit in the box)
This is a post from Monica Vanzant. Monica and Ryan's daughter Makenna is at Childrens in Little Rock. We are asking for prayers for this sweet girl.
There are no words to express how we feel. Our hearts are full. The prayers from our community, friends, and family are overwhelming. Our sweet baby girl is fighting this. What she has doesn't cause pain so she's still awake and at times feels like being on her phone. She just feels sick. She knows everything that's going on. This virus has attacked her blood so she will be getting blood transfusions. It's shutting her kidneys down so they will begin dialysis. She is the strongest and sweetest person I know and we serve a mighty God that is going to use Makenna to show everyone he is the God of miracles. Please continue to pray.
Remember Why Words Matter...We are all encouragers running the race alongside each other! Keep up the good work! Hope to see you Sunday!
This week's 1-for-7 verse is Psalms 119:162
"I rejoice in your presence like one who finds vast treasure"
We need to actively seek out God's presence. Many times week seek for happiness through things that will someday pass away. Family, friends, activities, etc. are all great things the lord has given to us to enjoy. However, we must seek the Lord first and then all the other joys of life will fall into place.
Here's this week's bulletin to start out the month of August. Don't forget that August Sunday nights are cool treat nights and our annual Luau dinner is next Sunday, August 13th. Also, this month we are collecting plastic boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
