I have been itching to share these for weeks now - thank you to my cousin for asking me to make this ring with a diamond that had been in his (now) fiance's family for years.
An understated, hammered finish, white gold diamond solitaire, as requested. My first diamond setting, and it couldn't have been more special xx
Not likely to be doing lots of this, but a lovely bit of pottery found at the back of the workshop makes a good practice for settings. Something I need to do more of as I have lots of other things that need setting!
The foot controller on my overlocker has worn out (literally, I took it apart to see what I could fix, and the mechanism that operates the electronic switch has just worn off!).
So, I grabbed the one from one of my other machines..... It's fits! It works! Hallelujah! PROOF that my hoarding has come in useful.....
