We are sending our Master Mixologist, Cory Tomkins, into nectarian battle this evening, and you can watch him strut his stuff. You KNOW this is a special event because Dale bought a new suit! Get out and support the pub at the very first craft cocktail competition hosted by Creative Loafing Tampa, HighBall 2017! A portion of proceeds to benefit Current Initiatives. For details and to purchase tickets: cltampa.com/highball After the competition, head to Flanagan's and catch a bit of Kevin Byrne on The Noel Cooney Stage. #CLHighBall facebook.com/events/212795322502282 Creative Loafing Tampa

Flanagan's has new ownership, and also some light, but tasteful remodeling inside. I was skeptical at first that it may lose some of its character. Fortunately... I feel
it has greatly improved. The food is authentic, well prepared, and the menu is short and sweet. Beer is cold, and the service is attentive. I lived in Dunedin for a long time, and I now go in even more than I used to.

Absolutely horrific! Do not go to this place! The service was horrible, and butch the bartender was awful. He made us green tea shots with well whiskey and when... we told him that green tea shots are with Jameson he began to ARGUE with us about it and wouldn't remake them. We are bartenders too, and know what's in a green tea- we also pulled the recipe up and showed him. And he still argued. If I'm paying $8 for a shot I want what's supposed to be in it, not the cheap way out. We also ordered jagerbombs and he told us that they don't have "froo froo" drinks and to order something else. Terrible service and terrible place. See More

So my wife and I stopped into Flanagan's with 3 other couples on one of our Sunday Funday bike rides.. We thought we might be able to get some bar food and a ro...und of drinks.. We ended up spending a couple of hours laughing.. Drinking.. And enjoying some of the best food we've had in a while! The steak bites were perfectly cooked and fork tender.. The cheese platter with almonds, sausage, and Jameson infused figs was KILLER.. And I probably could have stuffed myself sick on the Irish Pasties. Top it off with a proper pint of Guinness (or 4).. And you have a recipe for success! The owner stopped by our table frequently to tell us about the menu.. Make sure we had everything we needed.. And to just shoot the breeze.. All in all.. We had a proper craic... And we will definitely be back!

PS- my Guinness never got halfway empty before the server asked if I'd like him to start me another.. That kid knows his business!

There was 8 of us for drinks and lunch. They were out of a few of there popular menu items that we had ordered so we just had drinks and kept shopping and lunch... at the Mexican Restaurant. A very friendly staff!! We had eaten there before so a little disappointed they didn't have their delicious potato skins, chips and fish. See More

Not sure if ownership has changed recently, but I have been going to Flanagan's for almost 20 years and tonight it was just flat. I am all for change but this p...lace has always been the life of downtown Dunedin with great service and tonight it was a self service dud. No atmosphere no energy See More

We spent the weekend in Dunedin, our first adventure in this lovely community. On Sunday we stopped in Flannagan's and were delighted by great Guinness and deli...cious Poutine. The owner, Jason was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We will be sure to return on our next trip to Dunedin! See More

Eh. I use to RAVE about this place but now it sucks : ( it use to have that family, fun- "everyone knows yours name " atmosphere. Now the service is bad, music... was bad and I convinced a party (that I met off the street ) of 20 to turn around and go to chic a boom. So disappointed!!!!! Was there a change in management ?!!!!! Looking for great food, booze and a great time? Flanagan's is that place. It's one of the few places in Dunedin where you can get: Entertainment, Food, and a full bar. My personal favorite is the Shine Burger, it's the best burger in town.

First time here and the atmosphere was awesome. Small setting but plenty of seating. Definitely transitions over to a bar around 7pm or 8pm. Food was great, I h...ad fish and chips and they was as close to what I grew up with in new England as I will find around here. My wife had the Shepards pie and oh my that was so yummy and steaming hot. Definitely gets loud and plenty of people drinking so not close to a family friendly quick dinner, but EXCELLENT for a group of adults. Will definitely be back to see if it is consistently good. The new owners, Jade and Jason, put their heart into continuing to make this local Irish pub a Dunedin treasure. Definitely a wonderful place to sit, have a drink and make new friends! Thankful for thier local support to the Dunedin Highland Trail 5k!

Congratulations Jason & Jade. We were there last night and had a great time. The fish & chips were amazing, the beef and vegetable soup was awesome and you have the best shepherds pie, that I ever had, "it rocked my world". Hope to see you there next time, and it will be soon.

The shepherd's pie is delicious. Flanagan's is one of the places you have to check out when you're in town. This is one of the oldest established bars in downtown and is part of Dunedin's historic charm.
Five stars for food, beer, and service.

Horrible service. The servers were very nice and apologetic for the terrible bar service. Drinks had to be sent back. They lied about served beers because they ...were out. We never received ordered drinks (never=30+mins) and still charged for them! And charged for drinks that had to be sent back twice! See More

Been here before and loved it but disappointed tonight.. fish was not the same and very greasy...fries undercooked and service was sub par.. we had our kids ( a...ge 13) with us and I guess I found out it's not really a "family place" it was only 9:00 so I figured it wasn't to late.. the icing on the cake was as we were cashing out they did a song about getting into a women's pants and who the F is Alice? The whole bar was shouting that chorus.. I am not a bar snob by any means and have worked in them for 20 years, I was just kind of surprised they would do a song like that as we were clearly just there for a quick dinner.. and then that wasn't good either.. maybe just an off night and I get that.. very disappointed with the song though.. The friendliest bar downtown. We just found this jewel about 6 months ago and never met the old owners but the new owners are a young friendly couple who greet... almost everyone personally. They have GREAT entertainment but our favorite is Cage who makes everyone feel like family. This is a MUST try if you are in the area. See More

Great revised menu, a little updated decor, fun entertainment and a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere are a few of the many reasons Flanagan's Irish Pub is one of best places in Dunedin!

Walked in and sat down at a table and not one service member came over and greeted us. We waited 10 minutes without even being greeted. More interested in serving people ordering beers. Very disappointed! We will never come back!
