- www.allfreespanish.com is another resource to learn Spanish online!
- So, I'm a premium member about to really dig in on learning Arabic. ...Now, I am learning Arabic in hopes of getting a job in the government, so MSA is how you're tested. However, I do think it's even better to learn a dialect as well. Can you learn both at the same time? Or should I learn MSA and then take on a dialect? Some of the tools you mention in your videos will be great, since they seem to have all the options, but any opinions would be appreciated (note, I've read your opinion on learning a dialect first, and while I agree, I'm stuck with MSA). What kind of videos would you like to see on the Youtube channel and here on Facebook? In other languages? About other languages? About learning/travel hacks? My favourite tools?
Let me know in the comments and like any that you agree with!
Happy to share another cool tool with you today - the HiNative app, which is made by the same people behind the Lang-8 website! Check it out here:
App Store
https://itunes.apple.com/app/apple-store/id923920480…
Google Play
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details…
It's a free app, and community feedback is also 100% free. There is also a premium feature to get your request featured at the top.
I'll be adding this to my arsenal of apps to get quick confirmation when I have doubts about how to say something in one of my target languages.
And sorry about the two typos (pointed out) in the video from not double checking what my swyping keyboard wrote. Ultimately, I got replies to those requests pointing out the mistake of course
This is a partially sponsored video since I'm collaborating with the team behind Lang-8, who are also kindly sharing my #languagehacking books with their audience. Thanks guys!
Let me know if you'd like to see more videos like this in future where I give tours of apps and other cool tools as I come across them! When I get back to New York, I am overdue giving you a full tour of all my technology and insane workstation

Huge announcement everyone!! 📢 🎉
I'm so excited to finally reveal that I'm publishing a range of #languagehacking courses with the one and only Teach Yourself!
As well as publishing my favourite language learning book series, John Murray (division of Hodder Books / Quercus Books ) also publish the Michelle Thomas series, and go all the way back to even originally publishing Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution! Definitely worth associating with.
...We're kicking it off with beginner courses in #Italian, #German, #Spanish, & #French. 🇮🇹🇩🇪🇪🇸🇫🇷
And what would be better than pairing up with Teach Yourself? Why, a trio partnership that also includes non other than @italki, of course!! This will be the first course of its kind that truly gets you to speak with natives from day one
Lots to share about the story behind these courses and what makes them unique.
For now, for more info check out http://www.languagehacking.com (and click your language choice in the bottom selector) to see a sample and a link to the Amazon page to preorder. Lots of goodies on the way for those who get a copy early Join email list on the link and reply to welcome message with your receipt to find out!
My partner Lauren and I have been working extremely hard alongside the publisher for a very long time, to make these first 4 books the best start to learning these languages. So glad to finally share them with the world! 😄😃😀
Please share this with your language learning friends! Thanks so much
It´s been a long time tradition that I upload videos in a foreign or multiple languages to show you around the places I stop in my travels. Since I'm hanging out in New York much longer, it's only right that I should show you this home!
Check it out as I show you the place in English, Geman, French, ASL, Irish and Mandarin, and Lauren even pops in with some Esperanto!
Also, did you notice the little surprise? Let me know if you can guess what's going on If you already know though, write a private message so you don't spoil the surprise for everyone else

This blog post has been in my drafts for a long time (a really long time...), but now I can finally share it with you all. Enjoy!
