This is a well run charity that is truly making a difference
Food Gatherers honored four special groups of people last night at its annual Spring Gathering, an awards ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates special contributions to advancing the organization's mission.
This year's Gathering Awards went to:
- Farmer Bill Schmid and the Mindful Eating Team of the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor for their dedication to growing and supplying fresh, local produce to distribute to our partner agencies.
- Lindsay and... Frank Bateman for exemplary volunteer service at Food Gatherers Community Kitchen.
- Domino's for its generous financial support over the years and help building awareness about hunger and how Food Gatherers strives to alleviate it.
- Washtenaw County Health Department for its financial support and collaborative work over many years to improve access to healthy foods.
Thank you all for your commitment to ending hunger where we live!
