New Kendall County Forest Preserve, opening next fall!
Kendall County Forest Preserve District, in partnership with The Conservation Foundation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources - US Dept. of the Interior, I...llinois Clean Energy Community Foundation, and Forest Foundation of Kendall County, completed the purchase of the 135-acre Little Rock Creek Forest Preserve near Plano, Illinois. Special thanks to the District's Board of Commissioners, and all agencies and individuals contributing time, talent and support to conserve this natural resource-rich area for the citizens of Kendall County to enjoy! Efforts are underway to open the preserve to the public in spring 2019.

A portion of all sale proceeds will benefit the Forest Foundation of Kendall County's support of local conservation and environmental education projects.

The weather is getting colder and it is the perfect time to come play ...games, read books, and visit our resident animals! Our nature center is located in the Historic Courthouse at 110 W. Madison St. in downtown Yorkville and is open Monday-Friday 9 am- 3 pm. We hope to see you soon!
