We are really pleased to be supporting Mayfest18 which celebrates the best traditions of the trade union movement in novel and entertaining ways. There is an extensive programme of events running from 1st to 13th May, which is well worth checking out.

MayFest 2018 runs from Tuesday, 1st May until Sunday, 13th May in Liberty Hall.

Among the events is a performance of ‘Enough’, a new play by Joe Byrne which de...als with the impact of drugs on an inner-city family on Friday 4th May, and ‘Social Fabric’, a display of banner art from political campaigns and the trade union movement.

We will also host a day of entertainment for young children affected by the homelessness crisis on Monday 7th May.

Calling all second-level students, our colleagues in the Irish Second-level Students’ Union (ISSU) have asked us to share their survey link and encourage as many of you as possible to participate in this survey.

The data collected by the ISSU will help to inform their submission to the Oireachtas Education and Skills Committee on sexual education and potential changes to the RSE (Relationships & Sexuality Education) curriculum.
