We got a write up from the Living Dead Film Festival last weekend. Looks like they got what we were going for.
"You know that uncle or brother we all have who goes on a rant about illegal immigrants when you bring your hispanic boyfriend to dinner? Yeah, that’s what this is about. Except with zombies. Zombie Casserole has its tongue firmly in its teeth in telling the story of a world where zombies (ahem, Undead Americans) are fighting for their right to vote and dealing with ...bigotry at every corner. Set at a dinner party between 3 siblings and their significant others, one of whom is a recently reanimated corpse; their host Wally quickly shows his disdain for the embalmed immigrants. The movie isn’t preachy in any sense, nor is the metaphor as on the nose as it seems. It isn’t so much satire as it is parody, with the atmosphere of a campy afterschool special. Zombie Casserole knows exactly what it is; a great joke with only a hint of metaphor, oh and an accidental death involving a clothes dryer."
