I bring my son and brother out every year during the annual rail festival. The 3 hour drive is more than worth it. You can view trains from early morning to well into the night. The members of the par...k are still making great updates. Best of all you can get up close and personal with the trains when they go by for the perfect picture or video. Im also gonna add the amazing local food places to eat. Great and amazing park for all ages See More

We always have the best time! Our son has autism and is obsessed with trains and you never fail to impress! To the wonderful lady that has the greeting packets that mowed her heart out on Saturday, ...it was nice to see you again! We will be back soon! If you have a rail fan and need a wonderful, quiet place to enjoy trains then this is your destinatio n! Lots of parking, clean restrooms and really nice people! Thanks til next time Fostoria! It was my first visit and my son's second. I was extremely impressed with the layout, overall views and cleanlines s of the rail park. We spent 6 hours waiting(on ) and watching the trains. We also me...t Ellen who was a wealth of informatio n. I am sure we will be back for more train watching! We also picked up a pizza from Fostoria Pizza Palace (yum) and had some ice cream at JD Whipps. A great ending to a fun day of rail fanning. See More

This is an excellent facility for rail fans to watch in a safe environmen t. I have made the 125 mile, each way, trip several times over the years and even before the park was built. If we were going t...o Lake Erie.for a short break, my wife knew we would go through Fostoria on the way up. She even got to the point she enjoyed it. I feel safe there, flush restrooms and small refreshmen ts available too. I was there on August 5th and only saw 14 trains but you take what you get and enjoy them. See More

Very cool place to railfan, train watch all day long and not get bothered by people thinking it's illegal to watch trains.

First time there this past week. Arrived to CSX train WB coming from SB so was wrapped around the rail park which was great first impression . Loved nice open fenced in area so my three year old daught...er can run around in between trains and she's safe. Viewing platform was very nice, liked the vending machine and sitting area. Loved having restrooms right there. Baby changing table in bathroom greatly appreciate d for seven month old son. Were there for just over three hours and saw about 15 trains, all but three on the CSX main on the south end of the property. Recommend for all future first time visitors to the park: have camera with zoom capability of about 100 yards or so with you for catching trains on the CSX main. Had to sprint halfway across the property a couple of times and use zoom, not sure about video quality from that distance. I had a regular 7M pixel digital camera which works well for close action. Great experience overall, family and I will definitely be back. See More

My best railfan experience ! Everyone was very kind, lots of other railfans were at the Park, and the park owner, Ellen, was extremely kind. Saw over 150 trains in about 30 hours! A must visit park

Great location to see to over 100 trains a day! CSX has all directions covered with the ability to change from any one direction to any other direction. Plus NS has the old Nickle Plate Line that runs... from Bellevue, Ohio to Ft. Wayne, Ind with a couple of smaller rail yards to the northeast of "The Iron Triangle". See More

My son AJ and I visited Fostoria for the first time this July. Wonderful experience . AJ could not get enough of this park and the amount of trains that went by. The people who take care of this park a...re first rate and very nice. Clean facilities and trash emptied every day. AJ took literally a thousand photos with his new camera and I plan on bringing him back next year See More

I've visited Fostoria in the past, usually at the depot on Main St., but I've never seen the trains from the rail park. Great views, especially when an eastbound CSX turns northward and the whole tra...in curves around you. I love the platform, reminds me of an old depot. In the warm months, this will be a great place to hang out. See More
