We’ve lived here over a year and a half and have loved it. Our apartment is in great (and updated) condition. And, anytime something in our apartment does need ...servicing, we just fill out a simple online form and things are regularly back in working order within 24-48 hours. The office and maintenance staff are great and the facilities are always being improved. And the pool is excellent! See More

Apartments are pretty old and outdated. My boyfriend has an iron leak in his tub from a pipe above the shower which makes his bathroom unsanitary. There are 4 B...BQ grills that are provided for residence use in the courtyard and none of them work properly. Rent is very high and this place is poorly maintained making it not worth it! They are selling location not comfortable living. See More

Pretty horrible customer service, nearly impossible to move within the complex, maintenance and grounds keeping are never ending and extremely noisy all day long all year, outdated appliances and overpriced. Only positives are it's location and parking.

Fountain View on the Plaza is a wonderful community. I know first hand that the staff truely cares about its neighbors and their well-being. This place has a special place in my heart. Go check it out!

Construction is never ending. Yes, I understand the sprinkler project was necessary but it has taken months on end to finish even the little things and is very old. It's one thing after the other. They finished the sprinklers, now it's the hallways, then it was the Parking garage stairs. Lord knows what is next and to add, I haven't seen the supposed "security" on site for over two months. I used to see them daily. It makes me wonder if they completely cut that out of one of their "perks". They need to step up their game as the apartment complex up the street going in, will be huge competition. See More

Nope... Asked to move to a new apt 1 day into my stay due to the noise from my neighbors. I knew there was another vacancy because I was shown it... Cost me $50...0 to transfer to the new unit. Very expensive one night stay. Thank you for being courteous to your customers. Should I dive into the 25 individual service requests or the continual maintenance on the property that has me up before 8am every morning and an unlocked door for many many days?? Message me and I'll explain to you every reason you should avoid this place. Ya... I don't care about leaving a negative review because this place didn't care about us ;) However, I do care about those who may be put through the same hustle I was. See More

The professionalism, expertise, and careful attention that Michael Harris demonstrates to potential new residents and existing residents is unparalleled. His attention to detail is both refreshing and unprecedented. Fountain View is very lucky to have employees like Michael.

Where to begin...We moved in May of 2014 and thought the place was perfect. We were wrong. I only give this place 2 stars - 1 star for our apartment we were in because it was a cute apartment and the layout was nice. Second star because the staff in the leasing office has always been very friendly to us. They did everything they could to help us but unfortunately stuff kept going on as I am going to list below.

The parties- Every single night there was always a party going on. It did eventually stop at the end of our lease which made no sense. We called security probably 4 times during our time there. We should have called more to resolve it sooner. Along with the parties we had an obnoxious guy living above us playing techno music every single evening for about an hour which wasn't as bad as the parties, but when you want quiet time right when you are off work it was impossible. One night the guy above our apartment tried breaking into ours at about 3:00 in the morning kicking our door and threatening to kill us if we didn't let him in. We knew he had the wrong apartment and he was above us. Worst experience we ever had there. At the end we noticed a awful smell what we thought was weed. We called because the smell was coming into our apartment. They came to investigate but apparently didn't find anything. The smell got worse after that, so we just gave up on that part.

Constant construction- There was always something causing inconvenience at this complex. The first thing that happened right when we moved here was the "remodeling of the parking garage." Remodeling? I didn't see any improvements besides them making our parking spots have brighter numbers. Made no sense why they made us park at UMKC for a month just to do that minor thing. The biggest construction project they were doing and still are doing is remodeling the roof. This was the last straw of this place. It didn't help that I happened to be home all day and was woken up at 6;30 in the morning to hear yelling and hammering every morning. We wanted friends over and they couldn't find a parking spot anywhere because the workers had to use the majority of the guest spots outside near the exit gate.

The pool- The pool was one of our favorite amenities except for a few things that happened that Fountain View actually was able to take care of. The few times we could actually use the pool it was a very sour experience for us. One day we go down and there are cigarettes floating in the water and empty beer cans all over the place. There was a baby down at the pool and some guys were throwing a football and almost hit the baby. That was all in one day and we decided we weren't coming back to the pool after that. No sense on going if it is going to be an party all day. The complex eventually found out about it thanks to some people that noticed it along with us, so they had a security guard there from then on. We did give the pool another chance after that and it was a lot better. So I will say thank you to Fountain View for doing something about that issue.

Overall our experience was the worst we have ever had at any apartment. I will say it is overpriced for what we had to deal with. No one should have to go through what we went through. They shouldn't be letting 'kids' sign on at this place. We are happy to finally be out of there and are living in a more classy area now.

With so much to look at in a thrift store, it can be hard to decide what is worth taking home and what is worth tossing. Here are a few ways to decide on what to keep while browsing a second-hand shop.
