Today's #FREDlove Friday story comes from Natalie ('00 Psychology) a...nd Frank ('01 English). 💙
"One sunny spring day on the front porch of 314 Temple St. is where I first met Frankie. I was brought to the “Hippie House” by a mutual friend who introduced me to some cool people that day. I remember Frankie coming outside, no shirt, a curly mess of light brown hair on his head, and eyes that sparkled with kindness and love. Wow. I fell hard in that moment.
Fast forward the story a bit, and now we are friends in the same circle, doing a lot of hanging out at Barker, eating late night chicken finger subs from Pizza, Wings and Things. Fast forward again, and now we are very close friends, looking for each other’s company on a regular basis. We’d meet up at the Brown Bean at the end of his shift, or walk around town together. And finally, we decided to give in to what we knew was there all along; a mutual attraction and connection that felt very natural and deep.
Twenty years later, here we are- happily married, living in Atlanta with our two beautiful girls, our dog, and careers we each feel proud of. Through this journey, we often remember the good times we had and the memories we made together in Fredonia, and we feel so lucky to have been introduced to each other that one spring day on the front porch of 314 Temple Street."

Today's #FREDlove Friday story comes with our belated Happy Annivers...ary wishes for a very Fredonia couple, Lisa ('07, English) and Patrick ('08, Social Students Adolescent Education, History).
"Patrick and I met in the Fall of 2004, during my first year as an RA on campus (in Nixon Hall) and then the next year he was hired as an RA (in Chautauqua Hall). Our residence halls were paired up to work on a skit together during Homecoming on campus. Eventually, we were on the same RA staff when he was an RA in Gregory Hall and I was in University Commons (the staffs were combined). We were really lucky to both get jobs in Fredonia immediately following our graduations, and 16 years after first meeting on campus, we still live in Fredonia now. Also, in the Fall of 2006, we were Homecoming King & Queen. As far as we know, we were the only couple to ever be Homecoming King & Queen and the only to get married." See More
