Welcome to my new public facebook page!
To protect the privacy of my friends and family, I don't accept personal friend requests, so I created this page so I could share posts and be available to communicate with a larger audience.
While I primarily wanted to create this page so that people that need help and don't use Twitter have an easier way to quickly contact me, I'll also be posting regularly here.
...Sometimes I'll have questions, because I'd really like to get community input so I have access to a variety of viewpoints on pertinent issues related to online abuse. I'm also happy to answer questions (hit the message button!) as time permits, similar to ask.fm.
This page will also be a single place to view all the content I've created or promoted across various platforms. This is mostly limited to new posts I've written for Medium or other publications, as well as important industry news that I may have talked about on Twitter.
Although this is a bit unrelated and more personal, I'll also be posting about my Twitch streaming schedule updates, and I might give facebook game streaming a go. Gaming is how I relax, but sometimes I've talked about abuse issues when people asked questions in Twitch chat.
I'll be posting about conferences and public speaking events. And, of course, what public activist page would be complete without giving funding updates?
Comments will be heavily moderated, abusive users and bad actors will be given the boot. I mean, I'm sorta internet famous for blocking people. ![]()
More than just a functioning web, we care about a healthy one; a web all people can both access and participate in, resulting in an Internet that reflects the b...road the diversity of its users. But the Internet isn’t always like this.
Join us tomorrow at 1pm ET for a live discussion about inclusive design with speakers from Pinterest, GitHub, Slack, Online Abuse Prevention Initiative + The Coral Project.
Get your questions in here in the comments on in Twitter with the hashtag #InclusiveDesign!
