Our beloved DWA Brother, Carl Weil, was raised to the Lodge on High, on May 24 at approximately 2pm. He passed away unexpectedly at a cardiac rehabilitation center, while recovering from recent open heart surgery. Carl was an esteemed member of not just Fulton-Friendship Lodge #102, but also other local Masonic organizations. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice on 13 November 1957, passed to Fellow Craft on 11 December 1957, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on 15 January 1958. [ 186 more words. ]

remembering those who are no longer with us.
Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart, that I inform you our beloved DWA Brother, Carl Weil, was raised to the Lodge on High, on May 24, at approximately 2pm. Carl recently had open heart surgery, and appeared to be recovering, but suddenly and unexpectedly passed at a cardiac rehabilitation center.
We are all shocked and saddened, as Carl was an esteemed member of not just Fulton-Friendship Lodge #102, but also other local, Masonic organizations.
...DWA Brother Carl was initiated as an Entered Apprentice on 11/13/57, passed to Fellow Craft on 12/11/57, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on 1/15/58. Throughout his long Masonic career, Carl was very active in Freemasonry, and always exemplified its highest ideals. His kindness, simplicity, and humor were appreciated by all.
For us, at Fulton Friendship Lodge #102, he was our long time Tyler, serving nine consecutive years in that role. We were so appreciative of his service, that a few years back, we dedicated a special plaque with his name and picture just outside the outer door. Additionally, he was the keeper of our Lodge history, and also served in that role numerous years. He had a prodigious memory, and could recall everyone who had been a member, and a great deal of detail about them. In many ways, he kept the memory of so many departed brethren alive.
It is in this spirit of honoring his legacy, that I inform you of his final arrangements, as he wished for a Masonic funeral. To that end, and while there will be no wake, a service will be held at Pascack Reformed Church, 65 Pascack Road, Park Ridge on Friday, June 3, 2016, at 4pm. Of course, he will be interred at the Church’s cemetery. A cemetery, he lovingly cared for, many years, and which Fulton Friendship Lodge #102 supported it's restoration efforts.
Directly following the Church services, Fulton Friendship, 147 Kinderkamack Road, Park Ridge will host a memorial gathering at our Lodge to celebrate the life of a great man and Mason. All are welcome.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Karl Mock, WM
