Tonight’s lesson: The Tree of Self Esteem

“How we see ourselves is rooted in the messages we receive from others. These have significant impact on our self-images and self-esteem.”

The activity was to explain that the base of the tree are roots, which are representative of the messages that girl receives from others. The leaves of the tree represent how they see themselves as a result of these messages.

Happy New Year from GEMS! We wish you beautiful moments, treasured memories, and all the blessings your heart can know.

Each year the GEMS team gets together to bake cookies to distribute throughout the office as a way to say thank you for the support received throughout the year.

Special thank you to the women that made cookies and helped put the bags together. May you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

A huge thank you goes to Southern Missouri Women Lawyers (SMWL) for hosting the GEMS team at their holiday party this year! Through the kind donations of all the members, GEMS has already been able to provide for a youth in need by purchasing a coat, stocking cap, and gloves for the cold weather. In addition GEMS will be able to use the many gift cards received for incentive nights and program needs. Merry Christmas to the SMWL and again, Thank You!
