Before the storms moved in yesterday I went to Smyrna Village Green and took some pictures of the beautiful trees and flowers by the library. It was getting dark, so they're not quite as bright as if I shot on a sunny day, but I like the way they turned out.
Who wants a free photoshoot? You, me at Michaels!
Thank you to all the new followers to this page! It means a lot to me to be able to share my work with so many of you. I'm excited to share some new work with all of you very soon, but in the meantime, here's a couple of favorites from my trip to Japan, August 2017.
Photos from this year's cosplay studio party - Hair of the Dragon. It was so hard to sort through the photos and pick the best, all the cosplayers gave us so much!
Thank you to all my fellow photographers and to Mark Baggett of Markster Con who always puts on great events!
And a huge thank you to everyone who came by our space and sat for us.
Feel free to tag and share, but please credit the photographer and be sure to tag Markster Con...

"The Black Panther has been a protector of Wakanda for generations. And now, it is time to show the outside world who we are."
Another shot from Hair of the Dragon 7. Stay tuned for more shots as I work on editing the rest!
Not quite done editing photos but I had to share this one. I'm pleased with the outcome of the shot.
Black backdrop, one softbox. Taken at Hair of the Dragon last night.
Cosplay: Zombie Apocalypse Fred Jones of Scooby Doo.

I had the chance to partner with an awesome makeup artist and an amazing young woman who has a heart for mentoring young people, to work on her head shots.
I should also say that I work with both of these women in our regular "day jobs", and it was a joy to partner with them on something different.
I always enjoy learning new things and trying new processes, and this session was a good chance to use some different lighting and a lesser used lens for me - the 50mm lens. I am really pleased with how the photos and came out and look forward to sharing more about this project soon.
