Meridian Seeks Applicants for Arts Commission

MERIDIAN – The City of Meridian is currently accepting applications for individuals interested in serving on the M...eridian Arts Commission (MAC) for a term that will run through February 2021.The City will consider applications for three seats on the commission.

The Meridian Arts Commission advises the Mayor and the Meridian City Council on arts and cultural policies and promotes public awareness and participation in the multi-disciplinary area of the arts. The person who fills this vacancy will serve a 3 year term. Meetings are held at 3:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at Meridian City Hall.

Applicants must be aged 18 years old and have an interest in the arts. The successful applicants will be appointed by Mayor Tammy de Weerd and confirmed by the Meridian City Council.

Application forms for this voluntary position can be found here on the City’s website, or obtained from the Meridian City Clerk’s Office. In addition, a letter of interest and resume should be sent to Mayor Tammy de Weerd at Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, 83642. All information should be received by Friday, February 9, 2018.
