       INDIE ROCK MIX!! BEST OF 2013!!! So yeah, hey, being in LA, seeing a lot of great unknown bands and having the pleasure of DJing at KXLU this past year, I was exposed to a lot of great indie music. Everything from The Sixth Son to Manhattan Murder Mystery to Christopher Owens to Hailer to George Glass to Big Harp to Samantha Crain to Phosphorescent to akron/family to Ladyheat to BEACH PARTY to Skating Polly. There are just so many great bands I discovered I felt an obligation, nay, a DUTY to put my favorite tracks together and release it. Anyone who enjoys a good garage band or really pissed off 12 year old girls (amazing 12 year old girls) or a beautiful synth-based ballad, here is your mix! P.S.       Yay for 2014!!! Thinking about this past year, and I want to thank all of you who made 2013 so special!!! OMG what an Epic year this has been for me! The high points were some of the best of my life thus far.Wow. I am very lucky, and so thankful!!!:) My top ten experiences of 2013 would have to be: 10. Playing KROQ Weenie Roast with SSPU. There was a funny mix up involving cup cakes (of all things) between me and Jared Leto. It was all my fault, and it was very surreal, and very hilarious. The whole day was amazingly fun. 9. The May leg of touring I did with @Silversun Pickups. For some reason, the shows, and bands, and people I met that month were so magical, and most special of all!!xo 8. Playing and exploring Mexico with Silversun Pickups!! Charlie ( of Happy Hollows) came and was our translator! He did such a great job, and it was really amazing to have both my SSPU and HH boys on such an adventure. 7. Happy Hollows show opening for @Atlas Genius in Bakersfield(of all places!?) The crowd was amazing, and it was surprisingly one of my favorite shows I've ever played!! 6. Playing the Echoplex for Echo Park Rising with Happy Hollows, that was the best!!! 5.Our family xmas in Mendocino. I got to hang out in a hot tub over looking the ocean for a week! My favorite part was hanging the following week with my white wolf clan ladies Shawn Carolan-Abell, Viki Carolan, Audrey Abell!!;)xoxo 4. Arriving in Chicago with SSPU and being whisked away onto a surprise private yacht ride. Omg. It was Amazeballs. 3. Being in Aspen for the first time with SSPU. It was heaven on earth. I also got to ski, for the first time, on top of a mountain, in Aspen,ahhhh it was Epic!!! 2. Playing The Shoreline!!! for BFD with SSPU!! I mean, seriously, WHAT!?!?:) 1. Our entire "Muncie Hot Nights" fall tour with The Happy Hollows and Son of Stan (feat. birthday boy Nicholas Ceglio of George Glass)! That was the most amazing experience, on so many levels, what a joyous and crazy life changing adventure we had! Thank you to Rhebecca McDonald for making it so epic!! Also a huge thank you to Steve Nice for setting it all up!!! Also to Heather Pollock, my best friend, who was the best merch girl and best everything in the history of touring!!! I also want to personally thank all of you out there who drove so far, sometimes 4 hours, to come see us play!! I met so many of you incredible people for the first time out there. Your support and love means so much, the whole world to me, and to the boys as well. You were my favorite part of last year. Thank you so much!! I love you!! Really excited for you 2014!!!:) xoxoxo
