Best backend of any specialized hosting environment for Wordpress or Drupal. Extremely fast load times and amazing capabilities using the latest technology. Containers are superior to a VPS. I love Pantheon

Pantheon came highly recommended but now that we are closing in on a major website release and have technical issues we cannot get them to respond to our support tickets. They have no support line to ...call and it looks like we are going to miss our implementation tonight. Extremely dissatisfied with Pantheon right now. See More

All milk. No cow. Yes they have slick advertisements, and will be very responsive until of course they have your money. There are better options than this.

Pantheon allowed our site design client to steal our code without our approval. Now, all of our work and intellectual property is gone and we have no recourse to get paid.

Learn why HTTPS deployments need a CDN: http://pnt.hn/2Ecbqh0

There are many reasons to deploy HTTPS: search engine rankings, avoiding browser warnings, and (of course) security. Yet, performance remains a priority for SEO and user engagement. Achieving both requires using a CDN; deploying HTTPS without a CDN is slow.

Announcing the Google Maps WordPress Block http://pnt.hn/2EuBR0K

It seems like everyone in the community is talking about Gutenberg, the upcoming reimagining of the WordPress editor. Hiring the right people for your team isn’t all about the skillset. Here’s how to find people who fit your team dynamic and share your values.

Building a great team requires a different kind of job interview. Make sure your candidate has the skill set *and* the values you need.

http://pnt.hn/2E5hFn2

Have you ever worked on a team with such a great dynamic it was almost paranormal? You know, the kind where everyone clicks, everyone is committed to the work, and everyone is operating at peak potential? That's not to say a great team is completely without problems-there's no such thing-but they de...

If your business has a website, you need HTTPS. Here's why: http://pnt.hn/2nubpdW

It's time to be blunt. If your business has a website, you need HTTPS. The elephant isn't just in the room; it's parked on the sofa, blasting death metal and eating all your Doritos.

If you have been working with Drupal or WordPress for a while, you may not remember what life was like before the advent of the modern CMS ("B.CMS," if you will). Maybe you used a framework, or maybe you built the whole dang site from scratch.

Meltdown and Spectre are the biggest vulnerabilities ever disclosed: affecting all applications on all operating systems and devices from mobile to desktop to cloud. Check out this behind-the-scenes look at how our engineering team responded to the Meltdown vulnerability: http://pnt.hn/2nsfCOF

TL;DR: we beat Meltdown (for now), and thanks to our platform engineers' work, some Pantheon customers are running faster than before the patches were applied. Spectre is up next.

As we're announcing Pantheon's transition to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) from our former home at Rackspace, I'd like to cover why we chose GCP over alternatives.
