Mike & Abby radiate many things, but their laid-back personalities could not have been more easy to work with. Saturday was such a beautiful bluebird day for their Breckenridge Engagement Session. Photo by Stacy Gillespie.

Trent and Stacy recently photographed my proposal and they went above and beyond to make the experience one that we will never forget. I reached out to them about 6 weeks ahead of time to discuss the ...idea of proposing at the Sand Dunes and they loved the idea. I spoke with them over FaceTime several times leading up to the day to coordinate everything from location and light to timing and secret hand signals. They arrived at the Sand Dunes well in advance to scout the location and hide so that the proposal remained a complete surprise to my now fiancée. As a wedding photographer myself, they worked well with me to create a vision that stood out and made the day unique. They captured some of the most stunning images that I've ever seen which is monumental because I literally look at photos for a living. Not only were the images from the proposal breathtaking but they also spent some time with us after documenting a true "engagement session." All of our family and friends which include tons of professional photographers have been so impressed with the images that they created. There are plenty of great photographers in the world but very few who go above and beyond like Trent and Stacy. The images that they made for us feel honest and true to who we are and what that moment will mean to us for the rest of our lives. See More

We cannot give enough praises for Trent and Stacy. They were recommended through mutual friends and are phenomenal professionally and personally. They took our engagement photos as well as our and we loved all of them. They truly capture so many beautiful moments and the time they take to edit and perfect every photo is priceless. It is hard to pick favorites because we love every single shot. They are so easy to get along with and you want to hang out with them all the time! We are incredibly grateful for these lifelong memories and recommend them to everyone! See More

Trent and Stacy are the best of the best. Not only are they rockstars of photographers and have documented some of my most FAVORITE portraits within the Rocky Mountains, they also are the most genuine..., real and loving people I have ever encountered. Selfless and hard workers describes them to a “T”. As an aspiring photographer, they provided me with the wonderful privilege to learn along side of them for an entire wedding season, and I have yet to this day find a single photographer who beats this duo. Hands down recommend these two not only for the beautiful portraits they capture, but also for the wonderful experience that one will receive on their day having them as their wedding photographers. My husband and I are both photojournalists, so having great photographers for our wedding day was non-negotiable and one of the most important decisions we made. We had a small, intimate wedding in th...e mountains of Colorado for which Trent & Stacy could not have been a more perfect fit. I fell in love with their work early on in the planning process - I knew I had found the perfect photographers before I had even booked our venue. They’re an incredibly talented team who are quick on their feet to capture fleeting storytelling moments and, most importantly, they’re genuinely great people who you want by your side on your wedding day. They embodied everything we were looking for in wedding photographers - they weren’t afraid to take risks, they pushed the boundaries, they are lighting gurus and we trusted that they could handle whatever came their way. The elements brought forth many challenges - with hail, lightning and a downpour of rain - and they took a situation that could have been a disaster, embraced the moment and created some of the most beautiful and compelling images we’ve ever seen. Throughout everything, their positive energy was uplifting and contagious. It was an absolute pleasure to have them as our photographers and get to know them better as people. I’ll never forget the jaw-dropping look on my husband’s face when he saw the sneak peek photo of our ceremony and the work-of-art the Gillespie’s created from that storm. We are beyond grateful to you both for these everlasting memories. Thank you Trent & Stacy - from the bottom of our hearts. See More

You will not find better than the Gillespies. They are a husband/wife team who are very professional, down to earth, & fun to work with.

Our engagement photos were stunning, & were a major kickoff t...o the thrill of our upcoming wedding.

At the wedding, the couple seamlessly gets down to business when they need to organize friends/family for photos.

I will GLADLY share some of our favorite photos they shot if anyone asks. The Gillespies have a knack for bringing out dramatic contrast in their photography.

They are the Rembrandt of photography. Google “The Storm on the Sea of Galilee” for reference.

Our wedding day flew by way too fast, & to some degree - it was all a blur. The Gillespies captured it perfectly.

Worth every penny. My wife & I could not be happier.

When it came to having maternity photos I wanted something special since we never received our wedding pictures. I also knew I wanted a winter themed maternity shoot so I had to find someone located i...n the mountains. After research, I was fortunate to connect Stacy at Gillespie Photography. I can honestly and full-heartedly say I trust Gillespie Photography. In addition, I showed Stacy examples of photos I desired and she made sure to find the perfect location.

Thank you so much for capturing our special moment. We will forever treasure our pictures!

Trent and Stacy shot our wedding on a cold day in November in South Dakota. It takes a lot for my husband to be impressed, because he hates pictures, but I️ catch him all the time going through the ph...otos with a smile on his face saying these pictures are the best. They captured our day perfectly. See More

My husband and I recently had our destination wedding in Breckenridge, and choosing a photographer was the most stressful and important decision we made. After several months of researching, we chose ...Trent & Stacy based on their amazing portfolio and positive reviews. Looking back, we think it was the best decision we made during the planning process. Not only are these two so incredibly talented, they were so easy, wonderful & fun to work with. The day of the wedding, they calmed the nerves of two awkward people and made us feel so comfortable, even though it was our first time meeting them in person. We wished we had been able to spend more time with them! We recently received our photos and were completely blown away! They're even better than what we could've imagined. I'm now trying to figure out how to hang 600+ pictures in my house :) Trent & Stacy are the bomb!!! See More

I hate to write a negative review about anyone or anything- and as an artist I love to support fellow artists but in this specific case I am quite offended. I reached out to Gillespie because I thorou...ghly enjoy their work, I think it's beautiful. I enjoyed it so much I decided that on my tight wedding budget I didn't care about the cost because I wanted them to shoot my wedding. So far this has been the most concrete decision I've made in this rollercoaster ride of wedding planning. I had a facetime chat with Stacy, we talked details and got to a point where I had thought everything was set in stone, I thought we were meeting 5 months prior to the date to settle all final details and having a drink about it! I was on cloud 9- super excited just about thinking about my big day documented in their style. Then I received an email the next day saying they would not be apart of my big day because the "the type of wedding I'm planning is not the style/type of event they specialize in capturing." I'm sorry, what? The wedding photographers can't take pictures of my wedding because it's not the kind of wedding they take pictures of? My first thought was maybe they were hoping to book someone that day that would pay more, I felt I wasn't good enough to have the photographers I wanted on my special day because of something I said or that they just weren't interested in my venue or having me in their portfolio? Either way- heart broken, I know that sounds silly, but when you have your heart set on something so much that you're willing to spend the extra money and do what you can to make it happen- and then after I thought plans were set I was pumped, and then that email? I later came to get an explanation that they didn't want to be involved with a wedding that may have excessive partying and families fighting. I had made one comment about an awkward family situation- in no way would there be fighting with my fantastic circle of family and friends- and I'm sorry, but this is one of the biggest days of my life- of course it's a giant party.

Either way- I wasn't under the impression that I had to interview to find a wedding vendor- if anything you would think it would be the other way around. As a graphic design professional I have had countless jobs I didn't necessarily want to take, but that's what I love to do, I would never turn someone away who appreciated my skill set and passion enough to want to pay me for it. You would think a photographer who loves shooting weddings outdoors in the beautiful Colorado mountains would concentrate on being happy for such an incredible and fun opportunity, rather then assuming they know the outcome of someones wedding night just by talking with the bride for 30 minutes.

Very disappointed, angry, offended, and overall just bummed. You're not suppose to cry over your wedding photographer. Artists are suppose to bring happiness and light into a room- not negativity and disappointment. I would be embarrassed if someone thought this way about me.

While hard sunlight is our favorite to work with, there is something to be said about a cloudy sky and the simplicity it brings to a portrait. This frame of Zach & Suzanne was one of our favorites from their engagement session in Summit County. Photo by Stacy Gillespie.
