GSCCC is a well run council.
The CEO is the best I've seen in my 25plus years as an adult GS volunteer.
The camps are a wonderful asset and I am thankful that GSCCC continues to maintain them.

Thanks to the charitable giving by employees of Cox Communications, Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will be able to engage more girls in STEM this year! Some very special Cox Communication representatives stopped by A Place for Girls today to present a $10,000 check to the Council! GSCCC CEO Tracy Keller, Board Chair Carolene Goodwyn-Harris and Vice Chair Barbara Tierney expressed their gratitude and described some of the programs the gift will support. It was smiles all around during the presentation that included Cox Communications Vice President of Customer Care Bruce Crooks, Vice President of Engineering Operation Toni Stubbs, Public Affairs Manager Sarah Buck, a past Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, and Community & Public Affairs Specialist Erin Brunelle.

More than 300 guests enjoyed this year's Samoa Soiree that was held at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside on Saturday. Chef Kyle Fowlkes from Cyprus Grille ended his evening with two awards - People's Choice Award for Best Savory and the Judge's Award for Best Presentation. His creation included gnocchis and veal topped with spinach using two Girl Scout Cookies - Dos-si-Dos and Toffee-tastics. People's Choice Award for Best Dessert went to Chef Chris McLeod from the Dirty Buffalo restaurant who made a Mini Samoa Pudding Cake. Many thanks to all the chefs and restaurants for participating! Our sponsors for this event were: GEICO; Enspyr; WAll, Einhorn & Chernitzer P.C.; and Newport News Shipbuilding.
