Today's reading - I'm using a strengths, weaknesses and advice spread this time. 🍃🔮 There is much strength is being able to follow your inner star, even in the more difficult circumstances. When you understand that your current path is not the one that you intended, you know when to walk away (8 of cups). This is not an act of cowardice, but rather a step towards searching for something that resonates and aligns more deeply with you. This is part of the search. What you lack ...however, is the clarity to make the correct decisions on where to go next (ace of swords). This sword cuts - it sorts, it delineates, it separates - it makes choices. While you have walked away from a situation that did not fulfill you completely, you may find it difficult to either move forward, or cut ties with the past, leaving you in a kind of limbo. You will have to learn to wrestle with the internal conflict that is brewing in you, perhaps there is a voice inside that shouts the loudest - maybe one that is a bit selfish, and wants to be heard at all costs (5 of swords). ✨🌿✨ The Nine of Cups appears as the today's card, and as most nines, they signal that a close of a chapter is near, but also that a final hurdle must be met before this cycle comes to a close. Today, we are reminded of the travels that one has gone through along this path, the one that we undertake in search for emotional fulfillment. We have gone through so many meanderings in an attempt to truly feel as though we are aligned with our greatest self. Perhaps in the past, we p...ut our faith into external sources - and those very same things that we were told *should* make us happy don't necessarily bring us the joy we expected, leading us to the moment in the Eight of Cups, where we were forced to walk away. There is joy expressed in this card, the cups are overflowing; there is abundance, contentment and satisfaction in knowing what we truly want, and knowing who we are. But we also notice that there seems to be one cup missing in the tower of cups, a final piece in our feeling of completeness. 🔮✨Today's reading seems to be a battle between the beauty and goodness of all that is earthly, sensual, and material (10 of Pentacles) with it's tendency to corrupt and chain us (The Devil). While the pentacles are most immediately associated with finances, that tends to only be its basest form; the ten of pentacles is the culmination of that journey that allows us to understand the true value of the material - it's ability to give many others nourishment symbolized by the fr...uit of the great tree, which got its origins as all plants do, a single seed tended to by a hardworking hand. It also represents the value of the small things in life; a freshly baked cookie from a friend, a home cooked meal with your family around you at the table, a gentle kiss good morning from your partner - things that make you feel at home. Too often we confuse one face of the pentacle from the other - represented by the excess of the Devil. What creates a bridge is the two of cups, the feeling of unity, balance and partnership that transforms the beastly into loving passion, to come together and tend to the tree of life. The two of cups encourages us to see the other, to accept, and unite with it - to understand that we are reflections of one another. Passion, desire and vision will drive us towards that love (Knight and King of cups).
