Every Christmas, members of The Beatles Fan Club looked forward to receiving their flex-disc Christmas message from The Beatles. They were always very funny and we took the name of our film Good Ol' Freda from a shout out The Beatles gave Freda on the very first flexi. And now a complete box set of the Christmas records has been released! Here's a great article in Variety by Matt Hurwitz for which Freda was interviewed.

Freda linked up with her old friend Joey Curatolo and his son Paul when they visited Liverpool recently. Joey has played Paul McCartney in RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles since the beginning and he now alternates that role with his son Paul. What a cool family tradition! Good Ol' Freda Co-Producer Peggy McCabe White also linked up with Freda in Liverpool for a nice lunch. And last but not least, Freda went to see Jerry Scheff in concert. Jerry was Elvis's bass player and he also played bass with The Doors.

Here's an update from our much loved amigo from Mexico City. Ricardo Calderon is an official Beatles Ambassador named by the City of Liverpool. His Beatles shop in the center of Mexico City is legendary as are his leadership and many kindnesses. He brought Freda Kelly and producer Kathy McCabe to Mexico City for his Beatles Festival and treated them like the Queen of England complete with Magical Mystery Tour Bus rides through the city with police escorts, press conferences, ...a helicopter ride over the city with Mexico's Minister of Tourism, a brass plaque on the front of his shop commemorating Freda's visit and a reception from his club members that was amazing. Later he brought Freda back again with her daughter Rachel and May Pang. We are all glad to hear he and his family are okay and we hope his fantastic collection of Beatles memorabilia and his shop will be open soon.

Hora de iniciar el recuento de los daños. Hay dos habitaciones a las que aún no puedo entrar. Ni quiero. Pero hay que levantar el tiradero. Al menos tenemos salud, necesito que restablezcan la electricidad.

A message from Freda:
Many thanks to all of you who sent get well wishes after my recent heart surgery. I am recovering well and your love and support meant so much to me. I want to tell all my good friends in Mexico City how sorry I am about the horrible earthquake that happened. I am thinking of you constantly and hope life returns to normal for you soon. Lastly, it is with great sadness I tell you of the sudden passing of my dear friend Billy Hatton of the great Liverpool band The Fourmost. We were friends for 55 years and his sense of humor was impeccable! Billy came to see me several times while I was in hospital. I'll always be honoured that he appeared in Good Ol' Freda. Godspeed, Billy.
