      Dear Go Violets. One day I'm just rummaging around for Australian pop music because I've done it since I discovered the Go-Betweens since back when you all were just tiny ideas. Found the song you did with Jeremy Neale and then found you. Jeremy's "people" were very kind to send his CD and yours to me in Baltimore when I began hounding them in a friendly manner. Yes, I paid! I love your record, "Heart Slice," and it's in the car on top of the pile and goes round and round with the windows down. Over the years, I developed a personal rule: If a band makes one great record, it never ever has to make another one again. They've given me a gift and owe me and everyone else nothing. I've got my wonderful gift, your great record, from you all. Thank you! Hope your futures are happy, in and out of music. John

    We're sad to announce that after an amazing three year journey, Go Violets is coming to a close.

    We are incredibly grateful for the opportunities that we have been given to make friends, meet and discover new bands, and travel the country.... We’d like to thank our friends, family and fans who have encouraged and supported us along the way, especially in the Brisbane community.We will all be continuing with our own artistic endeavors so stay tuned.

    You can see us play two last shows in the next month, one of which will be at Trainspotters on the 29th of March, and the other an all ages event with details to be released soon.
