Not long now, and great to be getting all front & centre in Publishers Weekly (whose review I'll share separately) - although between all of these and the other two Dead Girls released this year (by Abigail Tarttelin and Alice Bolin respectively), I'm suddenly starting to wish I'd called it The Girl on the Bandwagon! 🤦♀️
They're back... and this time, it's personal.
✊Yassss... my most tediously over-used catchphrase (like, every time I come back from literally anywhere I've just been) is FINALLY CANON!
Which is to say, Dead Girls is out on May 31st in the UK (blue) and North America (brown), and is available now to pre-order in paperback and ebook formats from all the usual places....
(Also, you now know what my concept of 'very soon' looks like, and therefore why my editor is always cross with me.)
Dutch friends: I approve this message. One of my very favourite books of the year, and deserves to be yours too!
Solomon Creed/The Searcher comes out today in Holland and this is what it looks like.
Please let me know if you see any out in the wild, me not being ...in Holland and all. Photos get extra points.

Or burn it if the police come round.

If there's someone in your life who probably hasn't read Normal yet, then this is a good time to share this post, because it's only £1.99 on Kindle right now! That's LITERALLY less than £2!
😲💥 <~ that's your mind being blown.
Thanks to Laurence and the team at Paddington library for letting us in out of the rain to rant at readers for an hour or two. It was educational!
In Award Nomination News:
Friends and other animals! If you're in London on Wednesday evening, June 8th, and are thinking you really need to get out more (which, if you're interested in anything I've got to say, you probably do!), then PLEASE for the love of all that's holy come along to Paddington Library, where I'll be in conversation with Claire Seeber, SJI Holliday and Simon Toyne, all of whom respond excellently to hecklers and tomato flingers, and of course YOU. About books, ostensibly, but you know what we're like. And as if that weren't enticing enough, it's FREE and you get TEA AND BISCUITS probably. And I might even spill some beans on Normal 2, which is EXCITING.
So I'll see you there, right?
Oh dear. I'm starting to think I need a PA, if only to remind me to check in here occasionally!
Honestly, my head's been so fluffed up with writing the next book that I've been fairly oblivious to everything else that's going on, BUT, having said that, you haven't missed much tbf.
I will have some news of upcoming appearances and releases to share shortly, though, so if you're still around, do stay a bit longer!...
In the meantime, enjoy this picture of the spanking-new Japanese edition of NORMAL - and if you happen to speak Japanese, which I don't, there'll be a small prize* if you can tell me what that title translates to!
*My unending gratitude and respect. Sorry, I might have oversold that.
NORMAL is only 99p on Kindle from now until Christmas.
I'll just let you take that in for a second....
Okay, now tell me: what's the best thing you've ever bought for less than a pound?
There'll be a (completely arbirtrarily judged) prize for the best answer.
