The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Senate Cystic Fibrosis Caucus joined forces for their first briefing since Senator Grassley co-founded the caucus. The panel discussion, including impressive teen advocates, covered the innovative treatments that have helped increase the life expectancy of cystic fibrosis patients. Attending from Iowa were Jaclyn Strube and Chaney Kurtz, who encouraged the formation of the caucus, and Melodee Pomerantz, head of the Iowa chapter of the foundation.
