“U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley accused the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs on Tuesday of providing misleading information about wait times at VA facilities in Iowa City and Des Moines, where he said there is a ‘massive’ backlog,” the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported.

“Grassley dismissed the idea this was a misunderstanding, and in yet another letter to Shulkin, sent last week, he said ‘hundreds’ of veterans were waiting between one and two years for an appointment.”

“This is completely unacceptable,” Senator Grassley said.
