I spent nearly 25 years running from ever having to attend college. Now, after completing my AAS Forest Technician Degree, why was I running? I have enjoyed much of my time at Grays Harbor College. In... fact, at least for me, I am not sure that I could find a more accepting place for myself and the talents that I possess to grow and develop. Thank you very much GHC!!!!! Much love to all the staff and students of GHC, and I will see everyone in the fall! See More

My experience at Grays Harbor College has been amazing. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the campus, the classes, the faculty, and the staff. I love going to my classes every day, and ...I love the part-time job I hold in the Safety and Security department. Without a doubt, my time here at GHC is some of the best of my life. Would I recommend GHC to others? Most definitely. You get out of it what you put into it, and there are people in every direction who are more than willing to step up and offer their assistance should anyone have questions (myself included). Chokers Rock! ♡ See More

If you were to only go to GHC you would think it's pretty good but in essence it's a community college that fills it's niche but falls short of being exemplary. I enjoyed my time there and found the s...taff on whole to be helpful but I remember being severely depressed and seeing the counselor there and being told, "This is college life, deal with it." That was further from the truth than I've ever heard. I went to two schools afterwards and they were entirely different atmospheres. I think GHC pretty much carries much of the feel of it's community with it and I guess that's to be expected. Want something progressive and forward moving, go to a community like that and attend the school. Want something stagnant and like the 1980's, then go to a community like that and there we have GHC. I love the people at GHC. From staff, Professors to other students, everyone is great. The diner has tasty food, the coffee stand has great coffee and classes I've taken have taught me a lot.

I went to Grays Harbor College two times, in the late 60s & again in the late 70s........the 2nd time was superb!! I didn't have enough motivation to get in early to get my office machines.....was a ...bit bewildered how 30 students could manage with only 3-4 of each machine?? in the 70s I did A work & never missed a beat, great environment, great staff, love the location so close to the ocean!! YOU get out of it what you put into any college !! See More

Worst school ever. I went with the HS 21 program, I had questions and asked questions to the lady who was in charge of testing(to be NICE, I won't name names.) I asked questions, and the lady got fru...strated with me, she tried writing her boss an email which got sent to me on accident stating I was hard to deal with and I was attacking her....because I was ASKING questions she couldn't/wouldn't answer. She was kind enough to send a note after mistakenly sending me the email and apologized, I am greatful for that. Truly I am. About a few weeks later, I was informed this same employee was talking to other employees about saying some not some nice things bout me, I felt that violated student confidentiality, employee wrote awful things on her facebook account, reported it, and they did nothing about it. After making the report, she cleaned up her facebook real fast and covered her tracks, I have proof of everything except the verbal defamation, and absolutely is hearsay and should be treated as such, however, false or not; nothing like this should happen on campus, and absolutely NO paying student should be swept under the rug like I was. I, am of course, upset with what transpired, but I'm more angry with how this situation was handled, and that the people/employees involed were not reprimanded.
P.s. after I started this program, I had my doubts, but the teacher I have right now has been really great.

The continuing education or adult classes are only offered during the day so those that are employed cannot participate. This makes me sad.

Here we have a sweet candid moment of our littlest cast member receiving a blocking note from our director, Brad Duffy, at a recent rehearsal for Billy Elliot: ...The Musical! This production consists of some of Grays Harbor's most talented and dedicated local actors, dancers and singers! Not to mention a tireless backstage crew and passionate pit band conducted by Dr. William Dyer. This is shaping up to be another top-notch local production and we can't wait to see you there!
