This was our 2nd stay at the Green Park Inn in 6 months. It was just as good as it was the first time. Great staff. Very prompt in taking care of any issues. Rooms are equipped nicely. The included br...eakfast is delicious!!! The fact that they are dog friendly is fantastic. We left our kids with grandparents and brought our dog instead!! She loves it and enjoyed the relaxation at the hotel. We have been driving up to Blowing Rock for 20 years and not until recently did we decide to try it. Glad we did. We are now fans and will spread the word. See More

My review is for the weekend of June 21, 2017. If ever you need a venue in the Blowing Rock area for a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner, please check out the Green Park Inn.
The food was delicious (squash c...asserole was my favorite side item) and the staff worked very hard to create a perfect setting for our celebration.
Shout out to Kerry Hines, our event coordinator. She met with me several times in the months before our dinner, and answered every phone call and email. The Green Park was also one of the hotels blocked for out of town guests. Everyone who stayed here, loved it! The breakfast was wonderful, hot, and quick!
I was so pleased. Thank you to all the staff. You are a class act!

My husband and I love Blowing Rock and have always wanted to try the Green Park Inn. We finally stayed there in December for my 40th birthday and it lived up to all of our expectations! It was absolut...ely charming. From the kind front desk staff to Polly the welcoming Golden Retriever, from the sweet gentleman who plays piano and sings on Saturday night late into the evening, to the delicious sit down complementary breakfast and the historical room, we were charmed. We will definitely be returning. One suggestion would be a different massage service. The Green Park was very helpful and gave our message to the contracted masseuse several times, but she never did call us and we weren’t able to schedule anything. Small hiccup. Everything else was lovely!! See More

We were just there one night and were planning on going out to dinner somewhere. We figured we'd have a couple of drinks at the bar (The Divide) to start but ended up staying there for the evening! ...Great menu of elevated bar food and the bartender was awesome. The rest of the staff were all friendly-as-could-be as well. We couldn't have enjoyed our short stay more. It's a beautiful hotel and we will be back. See More

I have never met a friendlier group of people than everyone who works here AND all of the other guests we interacted with. We got in late last night and by this morning, we knew everyone in the dining... room. The place is very clean and beautiful. The food is fantastic and the guy that plays the piano is so talented and charming. Now, that being said, I did not know the stories of the hauntings of this place and I did have quite an experience. If you ask the staff if it’s haunted, they will say something like “we respect the privacy of all our guests...the ones that leave AND the ones that never check out” but you might want to look it up if you are a chicken like me. Such an amazing place. Fantastic first stay!
I was greeted by Lisa at the front desk. As she checked me in, she went through the normal check in conversation..breakfast time...check out hours. Etc.
About 1/2 way... into the check in procedure, the hotel phone rings and Lisa politely excuses herself to answer the call. I could tell pretty quick the call was in reference to a reservation. Lisa politely asked them to hold on because she was in the process of checking someone (me) in.
Lisa returned back to finishing up my check in and asked me if it was the first time at the hotel for me. I answered “yes it is”. As quick as those words came out of my mouth, Lisa practically darted from behind the desk and began to briskly walk me through the lobby explaining some more of the history and pointing out even more particulars of the hotel.
Needless to say, I was blown away by this personal attention. I thanked Lisa very much for her time and attention and headed up to my room.

After getting settled in my room, it was time for dinner.
I proceeded back downstairs to “The Divide”, which is the hotels bar (serves food as well).
Again, I was politely greeted my the bartender/server. I inadvertently missed getting his name but did notice his initials of “SCG” on my receipt. I just so happened to be the only customer in the bar at the time.

He did a great job at offering drinks and dinner. He pored a great beer as well as made some great suggestions for dinner to me.
I ordered Lobster Bisque soup and Mac & Chicken for main entree. The soup was brought out and was absolutely fantastic!
The strangest thing happened though as I was eating my soup though. I noticed out of corner of my eye a man approaching me. It was the chef! He wanted to ask me just how spicy I wanted him to make the Mac & Cheese for me! WOW! That was a first for me. The chef obviously took great pride in making his food just as the customer (me) wanted it.
Needless to say, the entire meel was fantastic!
I thanked the bar tender for the great conversation and more historical facts that he shared with me while I enjoyed my time in the bar. I retreated to my room for the night.
Morningtime came fast and it was time to check out.
I didn’t have time to enjoy breakfast but promised myself next stay, I would.
As I checked out, the very nice blonde lady at the desk was super friendly and genuinely seemed to care how my stay was at this hotel. I thanked her again for the great experience that I had in my short stay.

I can’t say enough good things about this very unique hotel. From the awesome staff to the the cleanliness.
I have paid much, much more for a one night stay in a hotel and got far, far, less in amenities and even more importantly, fantastic service!!
A+++ rating in my book!!

Beautiful piece of history! We loved our weekend stay at this quaint hotel. Staff was polite and attentive. The history, photos, antiques, creaking, crooked floors just add to the charm of this 126 old inn. We loved every aspect from the wallpaper, quilts, the rocking chair porch, the stairs and even the water pipes from the ceilings. This hotel is just charming and quaint. We will definitely be coming back!! See More

I found the Green Park Inn only from visiting Blowing Rock. Went you enter the front lobby, it takes you back to a time of stately men and women of elegance would roam the grounds. The character and... atmosphere are rustic and timeless.

The staff and front companion dog were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A place I would stay at again.
