We did it! Last night's celebration at Three Lives and Company was a perfect end to our launch month. Thanks to everyone who braved the rain to come celebrate the Village with us. Many of our collaborators have expressed interest in future events later this summer and in the fall. We'll keep you updated as those unfold.

Meet a GVS Contributor: Lou Reed
The late Lou Reed was a rock musician, writer, and photographer. The former frontman for the Velvet Underground had published four books of photography. In his Greenwich Village story, he reflected, "My favorite moments in the Village are always with the beautiful sun drifting over the Hudson River."

Last night's Selected Shorts event at Symphony Space was amazing! BD Wong is a fantastic host, our contributors made the audience laugh and feel nostalgic at the same time, and the crowd was lively and engaged. Thanks again to everyone who came out.

With three launch events down, we turn our attention to our last event of the month, an informal celebration next Tuesday at 6:00pm at Three Lives & Company. Come celebrate the Village with us!
