Carrying on that Minneapolis sound, MPLS is wrapping up their debut ...album campaign. So let's help them. Now is the perfect time donate and participate in the rewards of their success. Both of my children are in this band. Son Brandon is the founder/drummer and daughter Ashley is on vocals. Dave Billingsley is on keys, along with the newest member, Big Rob. Beeph handles the poetic flow and David Glen and Jesse Larson hold down the guitar licks (They both double on vocals) along with Ms Bree Turner. So I went to the Dr. at a new clinic yesterday & filled out a new patient card. They asked me my race; white, african-american, asian, hispanic, native american or other. I checked other race & wrote Human.

Baby Blue Arts records & films Mn. music acts & puts them out on their website, am...ong other places. Gregg Inhofer & the Cockeyed Band recorded a show in Feb. which should be on their site in a few weeks. Check it out & check out your favorite local group to see if they've done one. My heart goes out to Liz Cummings' family & friends. She graduated after a long struggle with debilitating diseases. She will be missed as a musician & as a human being.

This Sat. I'll be doing a benefit for Kelli Cervi at Underground Coffee (formerly Coffee Grounds) 1579 Hamline Ave. St. Paul from 3-5. This young woman is trying to raise money for Lyme disease treatments. Come for a minute & show some support.

Hello all,
This is a fun week. Playing Butter Bakery/Cafe on Friday Feb 28th 7-9. My offer for a free coffee or hot cocoa still stands. Butter is at 3700 Nicollet ave so. Sat March 1st, I get to play with Curtiss A & the Jerks of Fate at 1st Avenue, opening for the Sonics. We start at 8:00. Have a lovely week & don't worry, it's almost over. Brrrrrrr

Dale & I were invited to be a part of a wonderful program at VivaMusica.com This is a non-profit that helps put instruments in the hands of deserving teens. They have a program going where they give away a hand made LaDoten guitar. Hey I play a LaDoten guitar. The first winner, of four to be given, was presented with her guitar last night. & congrats to Tiffany from Brainerd, who is the second... winner. They are looking for two more recipients. If you have or know of a talented teen who is in need of a new instrument to propel them forward, check out vivamusica.com for details. Remember, this is a program to help people who can't really afford a decent guitar, not for someone who just wants a custom instrument. It's a wonderful & worthwhile program.

Baby Blue Arts was an awesome experience on Sat. I'm told it will be edited in a couple months. I'll let you know when it's up on their site. In the meantime, check out babybluearts.co. They have many, many Minnesota musicians performing live in their studio. Cool stuff
