Group rules from the admins

1
Content must involve only WILD OWLS and/or their conservation issues.
No captive, baited, harassed, or habituated owls accepted.
2
Please label all posts, in the main header, with SPECIES (if known) and general LOCATION.
All posts must include province or state + country. Owls are sensitive to disturbance. For the safety of the owls never provide exact location. Please avoid the use of abbreviations for province/state.
3
When posting close-ups, indicate the following
Indicate measures used to minimize disturbance (distance from the subject, use of a telephoto lens, whether a blind or any form of concealment was used, and whether the photo was cropped, etc.) Photos lacking this imperative information will not be accepted.
4
When posting head-on flight shots, please provide context that demonstrates that the owl was not disturbed (e.g. flushed) or lured.
Perhaps consider including a statement indicating that the owl was not baited.
5
Please keep comments and posts respectful and constructive.
6
No advertising or self-promotion accepted.
7
Please keep ethical standards high and please keep information on owls as accurate as possible.
We reserve the right to remove any content that compromises the ethical and educational standards of this group.
8
Text comments only please.
Flashy gifs and stickers, etc. will be removed as they distract from the main content of the group.
9
Please include the date with any photos or videos.
The date of the observation or date the photo or video was taken.
10
No nesting owls (or fledglings by the nest).
This is to avoid the unwanted attention (too many observers) that sometimes arises from these posts.
