I was on vacation from Illinois and came into the ER. Other than the fact of being in the hospital from the 18th to 21st on my vacation that was the not so fun part. From the first person who I came... into contact with (Cole at the ER) then after I was admitted, (Debbie Ann, Colleen, Miles, Jessica, and everyone else who I am forgetting
sorry about that) I was treated with the best care possible. Everyone was so caring and thoughtful and just amazing!!! Never have I seen such great care or experience d it in my lifetime. You all are amazing at your jobs! Thank you all for taking such great care of me.
This hospital is hands down one of the best I have ever encountere
d. We were in Destin on holiday when my son started complainin g of his stomach hurting. It had been an ongoing thing with no real diag...nosis back home and it got to the point he was screaming. After having a CT done at Twin Cities in Niceville, we were given a proper diagnosis and were transferre d to Gulf Coast to have surgery done. The care that they showed my son before, during and after was wonderful!
A family member is in the hospital and I called the nurse, 20 min later no one had shown, I went to the desk (They will send someone right down) 20 minutes later no one shows. Walk into the hall 3 nu...rses standing around desk laughing. Place call to nurses again, "can we help you?" Still waiting on someone to help (They will send someone right down) 10 minutes later no one. I go into the hall and a male nurse (Not the one for this room) asked if he could help. I explained the situation and a few minutes later someone was there. He was wonderful.
And on a positive note the ICU personnel were amazing.

My mom is currently in your hospital. She was scheduled for a MRI and the staff failed to administer
calming meds before she went even after we reminded them the night before, before we went home for... the evening. When she got back in her room she was crying uncontroll ably and proclaimin g she was abused, mistreated , talked sharp and down too by the lady in there. UNACCEPTAB LE! Why? It's very hard for some to even do this test so why would she make it worse. Where was her calming profession al voice to the patient? Only after she got back in the room they gave her calming meds due to her being so devastated . Now today she was to get a Xray this morning and that got missed as well. Even after asking the nurses.. Now she has to stay another night which is a waste of money and not needed. She was suppose to get the XRay and get discharged if all good. We normally have no issues with this hospital but this is the 2nd time the same lady has been horrible to my elderly mother when doing the MRI. I have no name but you can see when it was completed and who was on duty and completed it. She needs to be reprimande d and trained in how to be in this field of work dealing with sick patients.

I’m here in icu which is never an enjoyable experience
however I’ve had two nurses who have gone above and beyond for me and really made my experience here so great so thank you thank you Taylor and A...shley y’all are the best
My special needs daughter had her feeding tube fall out we have been waiting 2hours and the risk for the hole where her tube was is getting greater and greater. Every time I ask about her getting to a... room I’m treated very poorly. This is awful I understand
you try and treat patients as they come but getting her tube back in is an emergency. Plus she is exposed to all kinds of illnesses because she can’t wear a mask. Awful awful awful.

My 6 year old daughter was sent to Gulf Coast ER by her pediatrici
an for abdominal pain, high fever and high white count. She was seen in the ER and admitted. Everyone we encountere d helped make this ...unpleasant experience , pleasant. I cannot thank the doctors and staff enough for taking such good care of our little girl and helping her recover! Friendly, courteous, profession al and caring! Thank you!!!
I went to the ER today for blood work. My first round was done Thursday at the diagnostic
s building but the second round needed to be done today through the ER since it's a weekend. The blood work is ...to test my HCG levels to confirm whether or not my pregnancy is viable. Needless to say I'm on edge and quite emotional during this time. I walked in and finally was able to get the woman's attention who was in charge of checking patients in on her roll around computer. She made zero attempt to ask my name or how I was. Just simply looked at my lab work and said well you're not an emergency so you will wait a long time. I said this is to check if I'm going to miscarry, as I started to tear up a little. She again said okay well that is not an emergency so you can wait. She still made no attempt to ask my name or give me any form of compassion . I am disgusted and heartbroke n that a woman like that works in the medical field. I walked out very quickly and couldn't hold back the tears. Unfortunat ely I do have to return as this lab work is quite important but I will pray she isn't working when I do.
I want to thank all the staff at gulf coast hospital for the care and assistance
I received re past couple weeks
and the respect I saw from the employees is so important. God bless all ...of u and please countinue to remember me in your prayers over the next couple of weeks it's going to be a large step just to get me well enough to go home and travel. I would like to talk with my family more be fore I discuss this with anyone else so please don't bombard me with calls. Prayers is what I need right now.
My son was born here, we have had select fee issues with them, I myself have had to wait in the waiting room for 3 hours suffering kidney pains but my big issue NOW is took my som in at 3 am this morn...ing because he stopped breathing and continued to have breathing issues so we rushed him to the ER to be told by other parents it was 2-3 hrs BEFORE even being seen in the Triage...T

This hospital is absolutely
amazing. I had both my daughters delivered here. One by Csection the other by naturally. . The doctors and nurses are great. My youngest daughter was a preemie so she had to... be in the nicu, the nicu nurses was wonderful. She is actually admitted into the pediatric part right now due to her not being able to keep fluid down. All the nurses and doctors who have been working with her have been absolutely wonderful. . This is more than a 5 star review but we can only go to 5 stars lol. I recommend this hospital to everybody.
My wife and I had our very first child delivered at Gulf Coast and I don't think I could have asked for a more pleasant experience
! Everyone was so thoughtful and caring! The doctors and nurses where ...mindful of our wishes and spent extra time with my wife, new baby girl, and I even though they didn't have to! The food and other services where also just as good! It's obvious that the people that cared for us are doing what they where CALLED to do! THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!
My fiance had major neck surgery and had to stay over night. The staff was wonderful.
I can't remember everyone's names because there were so many behind the scenes, but I do know that Brooke who w...as in the OR kept me updated regularly and she was super sweet. He stayed in a room on 2 south, and his nurse, Larrian, was the best. We were really impressed with her and she seemed to go above and beyond. The nursing manager on that floor, Donia, was very friendly as well. The food was great.... there's so many great things to say about this hospital.

If you want to wait for 12 hours to be seen then go to the ER at Gulf Coast , if you like being treated with a condescend
ing tone, go to Gulf Coast. If you love for everyone to hear your medical histo...ry and issues go to gulf coast youll be placed in the hall along with other patients who can hear it all. Hippa laws violated repeatedly .
When I had neck surgery in December 2017, I had an amazing experience
. From my doctor, to OR staff, as well as all the staff on 2 South. Thank you for taking such good care of me!
Worst emergency room in the county. Arrived around 8pm with my wife who was stuffing from a kidney stone and had to sit in the lobby for 3 hours before we were brought to a room. After sitting in the ...exam room for another 3 hours we finally saw a nurse. The emergency staff listened to her vomiting her guts up and never once popped their heads in to check on her. Needless to say I was furious. I watched numerous people who were in what seemed to be in no pain at all laughing and cutting up, be seen long before we were. So much for triage. I understand
being busy and all but there was no excuse for the periods of time we had to wait with her in pain the way she was. Now I'll be getting a huge bill for the awful service we received.

KUDOS to the wonderful staff in the ER this morning. Nichole, my nurse, Dr Grober, Sam X-ray tech, the triage folks who did registrati
on, vitals, bloodwork. I cannot say enough good about all of these... folks. They were kind, caring, efficient, thorough. Thank you for taking such good care of me today!!
Ive never seen such a disgusting
display of ignorance as your Drs strutting in pink bras and tassels for Breast Cancer Awareness? Stripping for tips wearing tassles ? TODDLERs wearing pink bras? Are y...ou aware 113 people die every day of Metastatic Breast Cancer in the USA? You’re doing nothing to help except make a mockery of the disease that’s actively killing me. You should be ashamed.
